So... It would be @#$ if he has 88, but i can't just called the 3bet on the turn can ? Ok maybe 3bet was pushing it on the river.

call down after the turn 3bet. he is saying that he can beat an 8. i mean, mebbe he has a8, or stupidly played aa, but 88 or tt is more likely.

i might just call the river raise but i think your play up until that is fine.

Thanks guys for the feed back. Yeah i think calling the river is the right move. On the turn i'm not so sure, i don't think it really matters. The guy is on the looser side though, so maybe maybe giving him only A8 or TT might be too tight. KTs, QTs might be up there as well... who knows.

So ill tell you what he had because i almost destroyed my computer...

You ready for this ?!?!

HE HAD...

'' Drum roll ''...

Spoiler:
...T8s...

Which never ever crossed my mind. I guess lesson is... look beyond what the obvious.

calling T8s there preflop is quite standard
by investing 1 extra small bet you will
1. sometimes fold btn immediately
2. gain a lot of FE postflop
3. completely disguise your hand when you hit 2pair, straight, boat etc
4. make some of your opponents destroy their computers when they lose vs omg T8s

easily can be worth an extra bet imo but even if it's not, how bad can it be (he has around 27-28% equity vs an 50% btn and 25% 3bet range)

Agreed, the hand plays out just fine, river is a spot one should just be flatting.... Turn is fine.... Its an unlucky spot, He bricks the ten, he probably still bets out etc....

Thats was funny...

Thanks guys for the replays. I guess 3 betting in BB with hands like T8s wasn't in my range. Ill have to work on it a bit.

I'm not saying it's a standard play, all I'm saying is when you see something weird, don't automatically assume it's fishy if it doesn't seem to perfectly fit cookie cutter reg strategy but force yourself to think ouside the box.
