well, 3 of the tables were running around this guy who I see playing highstakes PLO a lot, has been playing a good amount of LHE lately, seemingly only at 100+, we'll call him a semifish

And then there was a MEGAfish who sat, busted his buy-in twice, then reloaded to 8k before I stopped watching. I hadn't seen a guy like that playing that high since the ol' S.SANGWU2 days.

Edit: playing at 2/4 with 17k. Presumably a guy that shipped a SCOOP and has 100k to blow

Is it really true that you can't drink the tap water? That would suck because I drink tap water all the time. What about Mexican bottled water? Are their water purification systems not up to code? Serious questions.

From what I hear you shouldn't even have a frozen margarita because it uses their ice.

Most of Mexico sounds like a pretty **** place to live. I'd be terrified of getting murdered by a roaming drug cartel. Do love the food, though.

Shrug, as long as you're not quitting your job to try to be a backed 15/30 pro, why not? I'm sure the games are good, but your profit potential will likely be small as well. 1BB/hour is difficult to achieve without the correct circumstances, so how would you feel about splitting $10-$15 an hour up two ways?

If you don't really enjoy playing poker, it probably won't work. If you go in with unrealistic expectations, it probably won't work. If you're just going to play 10-15 hours a week, your results are going to be extremely tied up in variance.

Don't know how many places even have a code. Some of the guys down there drink only bottled, some have filters, and some condos have reverse osmosis systems on them, which would make all the water in the condo pure.

Most of the world except for the U.S. is a pretty ****** place to live. It's a third world country. People that have only been to Cancun or Cabo tend to forget that. Most of the time in the U.S. you can say the wrong thing to the wrong guy, hit on the wrong girl, or flash a big roll in the wrong place, and get away with it. Maybe get a punch in the mouth at worst, or a few hours in jail. Making that sort of mistake down there might get you killed or a long prison stay. I suspect that if you can go down there and be a normal person and avoid being an ***hole, you would get by just fine.

If you really wanted to live down there for awhile, the best way for you would probably be to get into a poker house with 2 or 3 other guys. Then you wouldn't be out alone much, and they could show you the ropes regarding daily life down there.

Keep the job. Use your extra hours to play some on existing online sites. Just get rb account before you do. At least online you will get to play a ton more hands. I'd only consider live if it were going to be 30/60 , and i don't even think Canterbury gets 30 lhe much anymore , mostly just mix w/ o8. i would say estimate beating 15/30 for $15-$20/hr would be a huge win. Your $16/hr is no variance.

when I worked for some time as a bartender in Greece where the tapwater is mostly undrinkable, they were also drawing the water for the ice machine from the tap not telling the customers as a default (only if they asked), who repeatedly got diarrhea if they had a weak stomach. one time the water was so ****ed up for a few days that the ice cubes turned yellow, like someone pissed in the ice machine. I asked my boss wtf am I supposed to say the customers about this, cause it can be clearly seen in transparent drinks. he shrugged and said "tell them this is premium ice, that's why it's golden"

yeah I mean all I read about Mexico on our local news sites is they find like a dozens of chopped heads somewhere pretty much every week who usually turn out to be tortured once they find the bodies. and when they don't find chopped heads they find people hanged on bridges (also pre-tortured ldo). I realize the war is between drug cartells but who the hell wants to go live in a country like that, especially in the posession of a lot of money?

golden ice . This doesn't relate that much but the people who buy fiji water at the grocery store are just kidding themselves. The only time i drink fiji is when the casino like venetian offers it. We have plenty of superbly clean water in ameriica and there are people who burn $ on fiji water.
