I think it's pretty funny that Merge gets more LHE traffic than Party.

Speaking of which, does anyone know why Merge 50/100 LHE is gone? Just not enough people were playing it or what?

You can still play 50/100 on Merge, you just have to set up a custom game.

Can't be too surprised by the demise of LHE. It's been an unfriendly and vulture-filled community for years. As the vulture mentality began trickling down the limits, it was only a matter of time before it came to this.

LHE is too simple a game. It's not hard to become a TAG who gives up very little. None of us were ever all that special for our LHE abilities.

Changing the subject, I just read in his blog that Terrence Chan sustained a bad concussion in a Brazilian Ju-Jitsu contest this past weekend. He still managed to play the main event and cashed. Go Terrence!

One of the preeminent tards predicts that "cards will be in the air" sometime in 2014!! Hoo****ingray.

I remember this ScreaminAsian guy saying it was "100 percent" that a bill would be passed through Congress by the end of 2011. He was completely convinced. Oops. No problem though, now he just brushes it aside and gushes on about how super soft games will be. Games, assuming they ever exist, will certainly be softer than Black Friday-era Stars, but there are still gonna be plenty of Ameriwhales thinking it's rigged or whatever. Not to mention the continuing strong push by AI guys to solve all mind games, because they want nothing more than to destroy humanity. With every passing day, poker is getting closer and closer to being solved.

If anybody wants to hold some money in escrow for 15 years, I'd bet a large sum that the popular minbet games of the day (LHE, O8, Stud, 3x draw) will be essentially solved by 2027.

After everything is solved, I wonder what people are going to do for recreation. Maybe people will realize there's nothing left and society will devolve in some kind of perpetual drunken orgy. I guess that doesn't sound so terrible, but what do you do with yourself when you're all out of jizz?

Man, nothing gets me into a doomsday tilt rage more than hearing people's blind optimism.
