If you're short on time but want to see the Sopranos, just watch the first season. I know a friend of the writer, and he put all his eggs into the first season because he never thought it would go a second season. When they asked him to do a second one, he said "ruh roh" because he hadn't planned on the story going any further.

Re: ***Official SSSH LC/NC Thread for July***
How much money do ya'll think is required to live on, separate from your roll? I'll live wherever but I eat out or get delivery for 100% of my meals and have no interest in changing that. In the good ol' days I never had to have a separate roll, I just played with the money that was online. Trying to determine if I should bother with it or go all in with some kind of robbery or scamming scheme. Those are the only reasonable options, and I need to act soon, because after 1.25 years of inaction I'm pretty close to busto.

Re: ***Official SSSH LC/NC Thread for July***
I googled "scammers forum", but all I got were watchdog forums dedicated to the PREVENTION of scams. It's unfortunate because I don't think I'm vindictive and clever enough to think of a good one on my own, nor do I have the technological knowledge or social "skills" (lol) to pull off a typical programming or con-man job. I also lack the tools, dexterity and connections to orchestrate a collective robbery effort like in Oceans 11-13.
Theoretically this seems like the most +ev way to go, so it's kind of a bummer.

As far as poker is concerned, if somebody were to do all the ancillary work it would be a profitable arrangement, as I'd make a great workhorse.

Re: ***Official SSSH LC/NC Thread for July***
In the live poker forum they are discussing whether or not somebody that beats live 40-80 should be considered an expert player. It's an hilariously dumb discussion, mainly because you could volunteer yourself for a full frontal lobotomy and still be massively profitable in that game. I'd say this there, but privatejoker has nightly wet dreams about being fascist dictator of the world, and so my post would be insta-deleted and my fifth 2p2 account would be banned.

I can't really blame him for having those dreams, because I do as well, but the difference is that I am able to come up with inventive and cunning ways to torture people and create a self-sustaining million acre long farm of sex slaves whereas his ideal world is limited to registering everybody in the world to an online forum and then finding tilting ways to ban them from it.

It depends on where you're going to live, obv. Stuff like how much you eat, car insurance, etc is simple arithmetic. Then you just have to decide where and how high on the hog you want to live. If you're used to a spacious basement in your folks' house, an equivalent apartment is going to be pricey. But if all you need is a bed and a computer desk, a studio is a lot cheaper. L.A. is more expensive than Phoenix, but probably cheaper than the Bay area, and Vegas cheaper than all of them. Fire up Excel and figure out your fixed costs, then you can decide on housing costs. Roughly speaking, Cali metro areas would probably be hard to get by on for much less than 3 grand a month unless you're very frugal.

You probably wouldn't enjoy prison very much though. A guy I know is finishing up his prison term soon, and I can hardly recognize him from the time he went in. He wasn't even guilty but it's shocking the lengths Federal prosecutors will go to in order to get a conviction. And the Federal sentencing guidleines are so rigid and outrageous (they add time on for counts you are found NOT guilty on!) that we were all flabbergasted when we heard the sentence. Approx ten years for white collar crime.

You could save some money and effort by getting a personal chef. You can get ones that will just drop off dinners for a week in tupperware, then you just reheat 'em when you want to eat. They'll make whatever you want. Search craigslist.

Elo, don't you think it's time you just go on with yourself post-Black Friday? Or is this robbery/scamming scheme actually your method of moving on?
