The SB coldcalled with 74o. This alone implies his range is huge. It is likely the case that we have the equity to cap getting 2-1 on our money even though we are trailing against Victor's range. Having position is also a benefit for us. Do a stove calc. You'll see that we have a very nice edge preflop. Not capping here with AQo is a mistake.

maybe it's just my image of vic but it sure seems aq is spewy to cap here, the only reason I would like it is because vic folds better hsnds way too much. And as for educating your opponents, I think I do just fine against u, don't need help. And at best a cap is close IMO, not a mistake at all to just call.

i mean, this is pretty much it. not capping aqs is retarded when getting 2:1. my range is wider than qq+ so its a pretty freakin easy cap.

That's not the point. Maybe it is behind, idk. But if it is behind it still has a ton of equity. So it's not a huge spew. It's a microscopic spew, even without the fish.

Based on the stove calc I did, it doesn't appear close.

For Victor's range I put 88, ATs, AJo, KQo, KJs.

For the SB's range, well I just tried my best to extrapolate from the 74o hand, but I tried to err on the side that would disfavor the cap argument.

Perhaps there is some dispute over Victor's range here? Maybe Victor will chime in and help educate us on this.
