2a. being in close vicinity to scores of dirty humans
3. talking to degen fish
I actually enjoy the humans for the most part. OTOH, people in Colorado and people who hang out at the Commerce can't really be compared. I'm not sure I've ever seen a card thrown at a dealer.

Also, it seems like the actual degens are terrible b/c the casino is sucking away their lives. When you hang out with the people who can just afford to play a 30/60 or 50/100 game, they tend to be interesting people. Like I've heard "this is way cheaper than blackjack". No idea, but assuming it is true, poker may be a good value.

You forgot: talking endlessly about the BBJ. Not in the mood for rest of top ten list.
Sadly, with the $2 BBJ drop, it is a big deal around here. I think I've been at a live table with quads beaten once, in 20 years. While never playing full time, that's a lot of hours. The endless speculation/discussion is so tiring.

so tilting when that racist chat guy chases off 2 60vpip fish. proly should report him.

I wonder how many live hands you've played over 20 years. But I haven't lost with quads in nearly 1m hands. Running good I guess.

Playing online, I think I've had three royals in a month. Live in 20 years, 3500 hands seems standard, right? That's what it seems like.

I did, however, manage to run KK into AA literally twice in a row vs the same opponent in a three handed game a few months ago.

Like on one hand I had kings and he had aces, and then on the very next hand, I had kings again and then he also had the aces.

Ya, I cannot explain my urge to go to Commerce either. I end up hating almost every trip, I usually get sick, and I am having fun at home right now. I guess it feels good to be around other cool poker players/staff? Tbh, there are a lot of ppl there who I really like.
No, not like that, it's maybe 150 dollars or something.

And yeah, I like some of the dudes there. I like the old Asian guys who are actually good and the non-card-throwing Persian fish.

That and the $5k in his box at the Bike and the $8k at Hustler. No real money, so just busto.

lost 20k in last 4 days

going to take 17 years to get that back

that is assuming I don't lose another 26000 and become megabusto again

I just ... don't win anymore. No matter what I do. Cue that familiar feeling.

Who's winning all the money? I'm down 15ish in the last 2 weeks.
03-21-2014 , 10:54 PM
im down like 6k the last few days. some 50/10 fish walked off with 4k today.

standard hand goes like this. i defend in the bb with q7. flop is q64. i cr. he calls with kt and spikes the k on the turn.

or my favorite is when flop and turn are like ten high and dude is chasing down with kq or kj. like tard button opens kq. i 3bet from sb with 99. flop is like 455. he calls. turn is ten. he calls. ya bra, winning play.

these are plays by you guys tho. its you 35/22 guys that chase 0-6 outs in mediocre pots. so i guess thats the leak in my game. not calling down king high when crushed.

ofc, i dont think im the good enough player to hit that perfect card. thats pretty much the best skill to have in poker. the ability to hit the card you need when the pot odds are poor.

button opens with 79hh. sb 3bets. flop is 3c10c5d. sb bets and button calls. winning players win with that exact play. the losing players lose to that play. thats limit hold em by definition.

the plays ppl make are just mind boggling. i raised utg 6max and it folds to the bb who 3bets with a9o. i mean, to make that play, you gotta just be such a hudge winner. just oblivious to the notion that you could ever lose. i am so envious of these guys that get to make plays over and over that would have put me in the poor house a thousand times over. they simply cant lose, no matter what they do. its just scary.

Nice to see BF didn't change victor.

his implied tilt odds were huge

i dont tilt. lhe is trivial game. there is no reason to tilt when every decision is massively simplistic.
03-22-2014 , 05:09 PM
For a guy using stacks of cash he won at the game as a riser for his monitor, that's certainly the case. Both you and tpirahna feel this way?
03-22-2014 , 05:13 PM
unless some of the aforementioned plays are correct, then ya, its pretty damn easy.
03-22-2014 , 06:13 PM
I had kings, twice in a row. But then he had aces also twice in a row, in both hands! Three handed!

I miss LHE. Someone please talk me out of putting money on Bovadadog.
03-22-2014 , 10:36 PM
It'll mess with the NL game you've been working so hard on.
