Check the turn? Check the turn?

SB is aggressive pre-flop, but generally straight forward post-flop. He's done things like raise 55 and JTo in the BB after limpers, but then plays it straight forward post-flop (just checks when he misses). Given his pre-flop aggression, he would probably play draws aggressively post-flop.

Dealt to Hero on the Button: K K

Folded to Hero, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop is J T T

SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, BB folds, Hero calls.

Turn is A

SB checks, Hero?

...bets and pays off a check/raise.

There's too many draws that c/r that flop and then get scared that you'll raise the Ace and go for a c/c on the turn. Don't give him a free card.
If villain sexys the turn, then you call to hit your 6-outer and probably pay off one more on the river.

If you want to go with your "tends to play his hand almost face postflop" read then you should bet this turn.

I would bet, I think you'll see a scared Jx more often than a tricky monster. If he check/raises you can probably fold the river UI.

Looks much more like Jx than Tx and there are more combos or Jx than Tx. I'd bet and pay off if he raises. If he doesn't c/r the turn the river is an easy VB.

imo lots of people check both hands here. J because "i am scared," T because "im c/ring lol."

are you guys raising anywhere turn or river with KK on blanks?

If the SB's range is Jx and Tx, they'll 3-bet with Tx and call with Jx and you'll never fold then raising is bad. I like raising the river because there's a good chance that he'll just call your river raise with Tx when he would have 3-bet it on the turn.

So people like raising here, calling a check raise and then probably folding the river unimproved?

Gee, I wonder who would do that?

i think betting/call the turn, and calling the river is horrible.

for those of you that want to bet the turn to "charge"

i've found that if you check the turn, Jx, Tx, and missed draws bet anyway.

so I just check, and bet or call the river

It's not about charging draws. It's about getting full value from the guy who flopped top pair and will never fold. If I only wanted to put 1 bet in it would be on the river, but I'd like to put 2 bets in.

Becuz we have a hand that is strong enough to value bet the river if our bet is called on the turn, I think we have to bet the turn even if we're unsure on how to handle a check/raise. The guy's hand looks too much like Jx which is why I think its a sin not to try to take 2BB's from him.
