Spade 6MAX limit for SNE or live 1/2 NL

Hello friends,

I play poker for last 2 years.I am break even at fixed limits 6 max and slight winner at 1/2 no limit fullring live. (I have not played a lot live..may be 150 hrs max).

I was not having enough bankroll till now. Now I have 5k for poker.

I am thinking whether to go for SNE at stars playing 6 max limit at 3/6
or Play 1/2 NL Live at German casinos.(I live in Germany).I see if i get to SNE i get upto 100k. But i can not resist the temptation go to and play Live.I will be one of the top 3-4 players in the table when playing live .I know i am not an expert in either games yet.

Please advice me which will be the better option to go for. (I know mastering NL cash game live is having a potential for future and player pool of Fixed limit is decreasing .)

Don't mean to sound bleak, but SNE will probably not be possible for you. 3/6 on-line is much, much tougher than 1/2 NL live. You'll also have to play over 100k hands/month and handle huge downswings, even if you were a break even player.

Live 1/2. 5k is not nearly enough for 3/6 if you're a BE player.

Sorry to be rude but prob start something else with your 5k. You are maybe good, but not good enough for the 2012 games.

-If you cant resist to the temptation to play live, you dont have the dedication to go for the SNE.
-If you are breakeven (btw why is it so hard to give clear wr numbers for each stakes with the number of hands ?), you will fall easily to -1BB or -2BB and you ll not get much to be a no life for 1 year.
-Without ft, us and spain the games are likely to be tougher in 2012.
-There are discussions in Germany for an anti online poker law in Germany for 2012. It will be not very cool to be kick out of stars before the end of the year.

What is a slight winner at 1/2nl live ? 3BB/100 with a bad rake I guess. Its 3euros/hour, if you cant improve a lot your game what is the point ?

If you're going for sne and can't drop down? I question whether you'd be breakeven trying to play 100k a month. So idk. I'd have to see you play to understand if you're reasonable. Wild guess: 40k You'd lose most of that during the year but make it back plus more at the end. Have you ever played 60+k hands in a month? If not, then this is sort of fantasy land imo.

i think the fact that i have not played 3/6 makes u think that way. may be you are right. but i dont think so. i believe i can atleast breakeven. or a small loss wouldnt hurt bcs of fpp value and milestones.

Re: 6MAX limit for SNE or live 1/2 NL

But can you breakeven playing 10 tables at once?

Even if you can you still need to be able to handle the variance of going on huge downswings (6k+) without it bothering you, or being worried about not being able to make SNE because you go broke first.
