2nd Pair, 3-w Cap Pot

Both villain's are Lag/Tag type regulars. Both seem reasonably aggressive with their 3-betting preflop.

First, I wasn't sure about my flop decision. I don't think I'm ahead all the often and I guess I don't see much benefit to folding out a hand like K9/A5 from SB if BB has AT/AK or is already ahead. Getting 3-bet, or putting in 2 bets and facing a cap also sucks.

As played, I really not sure about the river. SB's hand seems obvious as a busted draw. BB's hand feels like a KQ/AJ/KJ type hand; however, I've also under-repped my hand and maybe BB just thinks both of us can't call the river and bets his AT anyways?

I probably would have raised the flop based on the idea that it's a big pot, my second pair may have the bettor beat, and it would be annoying to go on to lose to SB's hand if I was ahead on the flop and a raise would have pushed him out. FWIW, folding out a hand like K9, if we can, would be a terrific result if, instead of AT/AK, BB had 99.

But, anyway, I don't know what the best play is on the flop. (Just because it would be good to raise agaisnt K9 and 99 specifically doesn't necessarily mean that a raise would be a good idea against your opponents' overall ranges.)

Yeah, that's what it feels like to me, too. It also feels like BB is making a value-bet that's directed at Hero. But at 13:1 versus an aggressive player, I probably would look him up anyway, irritating though it is, in the hopes that he's "value"-betting a hand that I beat like TT or that he's taking a stab with A-high at this seemingly unwanted pot.

probably can just fold the turn imo. too much parlay to somehow get to showdown ui and win. seems like outs too tainted to peel.

Didn't really expect this reply, so I ran a quick stove. I agree its not a pleasant spot to be in on the turn. We're getting over 10:1 closing the action on the river and a stove puts me around 15% equity give or take, so I don't think we can fold yet.

My river plan was to call SB's bet if BB folded, and fold if BB calls on brick rivers. I guess if we factor in the times we have to call the river unimproved, its actually a really close spot on the turn.

It's a big enough pot to call on the river as played although perhaps raising the flop might have been a good idea, having said that I understand your logic for not doing so. The real problem for me is pre-flop, once the big-blind caps I'm folding that hand right there.
