45% should be optimal imo.

It's a quality used car, half of a college education, a year's rent, etc.
I mean, 10K that's a 20/40 roll if you have discipline. I will definitely do as Unguarded suggests if you wish, but why don't you find a roommate in the hood and grind 20/40 at Commerce or the Bike? The 10K is worthless for you in Indiana IMO. You can get a car to give you free rides to and from the casino.

I can get you a prop job probably as well. Don't know if that is your thing though.

I sometimes check back my big hands on the flop to avoid scaring people out of the pot if I have a tough table image. Then I trap them on the big streets.

Live 2/5 inundated with 1600 rated players who think they are international masters. That's because they crush 1/2 which is a collection of 1200-1400 rated players. Every game i sit as seems good and that allows me to have the elo approach of no table or seat selection. Let them select then beat them anyway.

Anyone who insists on playing online should move to jersey and play 8 game and take all bocs money.

PS: 2100 backgammon though so watch out.
Haha, I sometimes think about what my poker ELO rating should be. I fear that we might all be a lot lower than we hope. Most of us have put in so much less work than 1800+ chess players.

I have missed your weirdass posts!

How often do the good HU bots check back? Also, I've never seen anyone at live 1/2 or 2/5 that I thought was the equivalent of a 1600 in chess; 1400 is about the highest score I'd be willing to give on that.

Some can barely play tic-tac-toe, much less checkers, much less chess.

how much does propping at the commerce 20-40 pay?

well how about at the bike then, u nits
05-03-2016 , 08:51 PM
$30

nice, 3.75BB/100

It probably takes 2.5 hours to get in 100 hands of LHE, for $75.

Bay 101 in San Jose used to use props too, dunno if they still do. The guys that can play the bigger games like 40/80 probably have the best chance of being hired/making more money. Rents are so high there that roommate situations are easy to find. People buy 4 and 5 br townhouses specifically to rent out rooms. Rent with roommates would be between 800 and 1000 a month in non-ghetto areas.

So you're voting for Trump?

I'm headed back west on another crosscountry poker roadtrip. Currently in Idaho. I now understand why Elo is so anti-social. I'll be at Canterbury park tonight if anyone wants to say hi (I'll be the new guy playing as big as they'll let me) Lurkers accepted.

Checking back flops is getting pretty common imo. I think Polaris checked back somewhere around 3 or 4 percent, and you can probably figure out cepheus' percentage. It depends a lot on board texture. Checking back against passive fish is just dumb though.

Being north of 30 and living in a townhouse with three other dudes in the slums of San Jose while you grind out that that rent money is what I call living the dream.

Guessing that was a joke but happiness/ dreams are subjective. I'd be thrilled if Elo started crushing at Poker again or at least be able to play strictly Poker for a living.

My biased opinion since he definitely works his tail off with those marathon sessions. Long sessions are often counter productive but I just think he deserves to be happy doing what he enjoys.

It would only be for a month anyway. By then he'd move from 20 to 40 to 80 and be able to get his own place.

BTW there are lots of 30+ engineers and programmers living with roommates there, just surf craigslist and see.

I've seen it, bro. Very pedestrian $4.5k/mo 2brs where the landlord wants proof of 10x income and needs to interview your pets.

Made it to BlackHawk. If any one's around say hi. I'm the new guy wearing glasses and a commerce hoodie. (in b4 hoodie jokes)

Which car is yours?

Am I reading this right? You have to install and pay for a thing called CardCatcher and then also pay for Holdem Manager or whatever else?
05-07-2016 , 03:24 PM
As far as I know, your options are this:

1)pay for pokeit ($20 per month) - most convenient as all you have to do is download the hands and it takes care of the rest. I think the 20 price is obnoxious. I used to use pokeit but forget that price.

2) pay for bovada hand converter and hm2 or pt4. up front costs but no monthly. I'm not sure how much those softwares cost these days. You can try the converter for a week without paying. You download your hands, convert them, and import as stars hands to pt4/hm2.

3)cardcatcher plus hm2/pt4 I tried this for a few days. You have to start the card catcher program before loading bovada. After you do, all of your hands are imported right as you play them and you dont have to download them if you dont want (to have backups etc). I thought I would like the expanded HUD options of pt4 but my brain was very used to holdem indicator and with anon/shorter sessions most advanced stats are worthless.

ps it seems as tho o8 hands are either ****ed up using the converter or you have to turn off known hole cards. I haven't messed with it much as I don't play much o8 but that's something worth noting.
