Well ty.

I'm a very variable player due to my style, bad as it may be.
The important thing is I want to improve.

What's your username at Stars, FT? or what was it.
I'd like to see what my stats v you are.
wow lol you don't know the mighty Scorcho's SN?

About the hand.. check back river.. I think raising the flop is fine. So is the turn bet. I won't bet the river since he won't call us with worse. We beat all the single diamond no pair hands which he can't call and that's about it. Maybe he might sometimes make a hero call with AQ/AJ but meh. Not enough value in betting the river.

If the topic you wish to discuss does not have anything to do with the hand in the original post, do not post about it in this thread. The purpose of this thread is to help SA figure out how to play this hand. Don't clutter it with nonsense.

I'd be concerned that a player like this would fold these hands on the turn too much and call with PP's too often to justify a bet on the river. Betting the turn rather then the river has the key benift of avoiding having to deal with a bet on a diamond as well as ensuring a bet goes in against villains flush draws.

Re: 1/2 Stars

BB 3 bet range? If I'm reading his stats correctly I'd but him on AT-AK, KJ, KQ, QJ, 99-AA. I like the flop raise, it got you heads up with the BB and he only called your raise so I can't put him on a PP higher than the board. The turn he probably would have C/R if he had KQ, AK, KJ. I think you are ahead most of the time and he only checked to you on 4th and 5th st. I would still value bet the river and hope he turns over Ace high.

Please explain to me checking on the river. BB did not show any more strength other than his flop bet and he checked the turn and river. He may have called OP down UI hoping he could beat his Ace high. Throw me a bone 8)
