Unfortunately, former administrations have kicked the can down the road and have created a situation were there are no good options. I'm not super worried actually. NK will eventually implode economically. Worse case Alaska gets nuked. If they could hit were I lived, I'd say it's time for a world coordinated mass preemptive attack. MOAB city.

Typically self-centered Trumpkin nonsense.

Cause they are Chinese?

Spoiler:
LOL, you idiots would be lost without me

Unless China finds a very serious way to curb North Korea, I see no other alternative than an actual invasion and an end to Kim's regime.

I fully expect fighting to break out.

I never feel like I know enough to really have a strong opinion on this, but I thought this piece about the various response options was interesting, although it left me still feeling like I still had little real knowledge.

There is a time limit. Our government will not allow North Korea to develop their missle program more.

I really don't see any way out of this. If I had to bet, it would be that we will invade. The south will have to absorb a lot of damage but the threat will be neutralized forever.

Going to be a rough summer.

On the other hand you could consider doing nothing. He's not mad enough to start a war that will inevitably lead to the end of his regime. In fact, he seems to be a little bit less mad than Trump.

It would leave the thorny problem of what to do if a future NK leader with nukes is as mad as Trump, though.

You're an idiot to even suggest that. Your assessment of the situation is in line with everything you've ever said - complete idiocy.

The ball is already rolling. China has moved troops and is ready to stop a crisis on their border. The south is preparing and have already said a conflict is likely.

You have no idea what you're talking about. ICBMs are unacceptable and our government didn't expect them to be able to deliver a warhead this quickly. The current situation is unacceptable and a solution must be found, now. This is an actual crisis, even if it's not being reported as such. War is imminent. We aren't waiting for their next move - they just did that.

Doing nothing is not an option.

Calm down, hot head

They don't yet have the ability to deliver a nuclear payload using these missiles - as usual it's all for show, and on your Most Special Day too - so we're a long way off from AN ACTUAL CRISIS.

you want to wait until nk shows us that they have the ability to deliver a nuclear payload through icbm's? ie the time we cannot deal with them without heavy losses

People like you are an actual danger. You talk about these things like you understand the strategic implications.

Their next move is to test an ICBM to hit our west coast. You really think our government will still be talking at that point?

You're a moron. People are going to die. A LOT of them.

We are not a long way off. I've seen estimates as short as 6 months. Kim is definitely trolling the US, but pretty clearly also has ramped up his missile program.

I'm not worried. Trump will easily handle this situation with grace, intelligence, and humility.

jalfrezi clearly is an ignorant doofus. He would be standing there when the mushroom cloud goes up, saying what crisis, I don't see any crisis.

The "crisis" has been largely caused by the US's constant demonisation of what is admittedly a laughable regime, though not in the league of some it has helped to power or traded with in the past.

Attacking a country with nuclear arms has never been done before. There are no good choices left and it could be coming to a head very soon. It is a sad kind of funny that people like Jalfrezy cant see the danger.

I never advocated doing nothing. I just said I'm personnally not too worried about it because I don't live in Alaska.

These people blame everyone but the bad guy. Do you think we'll ever see an anti NK march or an anti ISIS march? I doubt it.. Why? Because these people are cowards. How about an anti resisting arrest or running from the cops march?

I'm glad Obama isn't in office right now. Kim should have never been allowed to reach this point in the first ****ing place.
