To the same extent that there is urine in public pools...

I don't think I get your analogy.

Bahbah, are you familiar with the information that's maintained in voter files?

I'd assume name, DOB, address, (phone number?) and party membership. I may be missing some or have added something that shouldn't, but I would think this would be close after giving this 60 seconds of thought. Why?

5500 non-citizens on voter rolls, 1,852 ballots cast.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Hey, shocker, turns out my skepticism was warranted (thanks to lycosid for posting this in the main forum): Fake “Voter Fraud” Report Debunked by Woman Featured in Front Page Article

The Washington Times wrote a front-page article about the PILF report Jiggy posted, with a woman named Maureen Erickson as the star of the article.

Quote:
The story led with 3 paragraphs alleging Maureen Erickson was illegally allowed to register to vote with an address in Guatemala and subsequently voted in 14 elections.
Only problem is, she found out about it and it turns out she's a US citizen with every right to vote:

This isn't the first time the group Jiggy puts his faith in has had trouble with honesty and accuracy:

In 2016, PILF & VVA published the prelude to this current report, alleging thousands of noncitizens were consistently allowed to vote in Virginia elections. The report featured a flying saucer on the cover to complete its derogatory “illegal aliens” accusations. Within days, problems arose with the report. A Washington Post column revealed the first individual they contacted was a naturalized citizen and legally registered. Revelations appeared that PILF’s work was used online by white supremacists to justify their hate and bigotry. The founder of VVA routinely posts racist and sexist memes on social media.
Yikes!

You linked to "...the progressive blog for Virginia Politics. It's what I read every day! - Tim Kaine". LOL!!!

You should try harder.

Here's a quote from the Washington Times column though:

"It does make seem to make a valid point that merely checking boxes and scribbling addenda is sloppy."

"Debunked" is quite an overreach.

Sorry, I'd link a better source if your fraudulent report was actually big enough news for mainstream outlets to even bother giving a ****. Would you prefer the original article in the conservative Washington Times that now has an editor's note at the top of it admitting that Erickson's claims are contrary to what's in the article, and on top of that asks why the **** she was purged from the voter rolls at all?

Quote:
The Times has asked for responses from Prince William County and the State Board of Elections and will provide an update when officials explain how she was purged from the rolls as a non-citizen.
LOL

12 Staffers At Dem-Linked Group Charged With Voter Fraud

Quote:
Twelve employees of a Democrat-linked group focused on mobilizing black voters in Indiana are accused of submitting fake or fraudulent voter registration applications ahead of last year’s general election in order to meet quotas, according to charging documents filed Friday.

The Indiana Voter Registration Project’s effort to register primarily black voters was overseen by Patriot Majority USA, which has ties to the Democratic Party, including Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and former President Bill Clinton.

Conservatives and republicans appearing foreseeablely desperate to justify their long streak of hyperbole, exaggeration, and imagination about voter fraud must wring all they can from all rare hints of it.

But...
Quote:
Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said State Police found no evidence of voter fraud or voter suppression and that the charges against the workers arose from “a very bad, ill-advised business practice” of setting canvassers what appears to be a daily quota.

Daily quotas leading to illegal shenanigans, you don't say. Maybe they were just hired after leaving Wells Fargo.

But did anyone vote with them?

If you want actual voter fraud, I've got some for you: Republican county election judge pleads guilty to casting vote on behalf of her dead husband...for Donald Trump

We need ID laws to...oh wait it was an absentee ballot.

Wow - the dead voting for Trump. They've always been such a staunch Democrat block. Like it's been said though, plenty of Obama voters voted for Trump.

Automatic registration solves the issue of trying to get people to register to vote, while expanding the franchise.

Mods, please remove "claims of" from the thread title. There is nobody here claiming voter fraud doesn't exist.
06-14-2017 , 12:12 PM
Mods please include insignificant after claims of since no one can show levels of fraud that approach rounding errors in their significance.
