Interesting in reading about
LGBT in Islam that some early Islamic writings were openly homosexual.
A lot of the places where Islam now bans homosexuality were former colonies, especially British colonies. British laws also outlawed homosexuality, so certainly Christianity and Islam were reinforcing one another.
Meanwhile, The Ottoman Empire and Turkey have always allowed homosexuality, although today they supposedly use other laws to harass the community.
Another thing I didn't know about were the
Gay concentration camps in Chechnya. That's some barbaric ****. Both Russia and Chechnya deny it's going on.
