I think spanktehbadwookie has gotten a bum rap on the Silver_Man2 issue. A stated purpose of Baja Politards was to give racists more rope. As we have just learned with BruceZ, the relevant site-wide policy wouldn't have requiring banning Silver_Man2 at all.

On the other hand, spanktehbadwookie has, for whatever reasons, recently started posting similar to steelhouse. However, except for his terri-bad 'Aspy' ruling, he hasn't taken mod action on his new word-salad crazy-town whatever-ism.

I mean, I haven't actually observed any modding actions spank has taken that were over the line, but I'm sick of scrolling past his incoherent babbling. Hopefully if he's not modding fewer people will feel compelled to feed his trolling habit.

I hesitate to comment on this because I'm not a reg and it's not my place, but I feel like if it's not this thing, it will be another thing, because there's always something ruining the forum, because What's Ruining The Forum is under constant examination and, now that I think of it, is the reason this forum was created in the first place.

It would be nice to see what would happen to the quality (=direction) of the discussions if the nattering were kept to the Bad Posters thread only. If the problem is actually that most of the contributors ****ing hate each other and only come here out of habit and don't really want to talk about anything, that will make itself apparent soon enough and the place will die.

Maybe we do need to rehash what prompted this?
