bad guy... but in the same vain that Noreiga was bad.... as in, used to play an important role for Western business interests ... but then when no longer useful to us, threatening to change the petro-dollar dynamics throughout the region and generally getting a bit of a fat head, suddenly because a splinter that had to be "removed" through force ... same deal as Manny, replete with similar proportions of civilians as collateral damage.

doesn't change that fact that we:

1) funded his military for its showdown with Iran, including know-how for chemical weapons
2) told him we'd have no beef with his invasion of Kuwait
3) lied about Iraqi tanks on the Saudi border in order to get Gulf War I
4) lied about specific WMD capabilities that he never actually had
5) let an Iraqi court hang him with no Western tribunal/trial
