I sure hope this is a troll. Having wealth does not mean you contributed anything to society, it means generally you or your parents worked hard for themselves or you got lucky or stole it. Whether someone is rich or homeless on the streets the laws should be the same.

Do you honestly believe each person on the planet has exactly the same value?

I'm not saying that some people should be punished less than others. I'm asking if you think that some people contribute more to society than others?

Has there been any reports of affluence outbreaks down there? That would be worrisome since it could grant infected immigrants legal protection and reduce their deportation sentences to house arrests.

Hey, I forgot/don't know what his probable sentence would have been if he had just gone thru the usual sentencing?

assuming competent legal counsel, and the fact that he is caucasian, i'd guess 10-20 with parole, probably out in 7-10 years. likely in a low-security prison.

He was sentenced to lockdown rehab and probation which includes him not being able to use drugs and alcohol. I am not sure the length of sentence was ever announced publically.

His parents suck. He got a huge break and they not only didn't try to stop him from messing it up, they helped him.
