As I said, I think they were all deleted. I didn't delete all the 'Mong' and 'Mongo' misspellings so, again, I'm making clear they aren't acceptable anymore because they are not PC.

Maybe they were innocent rather than intended to be derogatory, maybe not. Fortunately I don't have to make that judgement.

I'm annoyed with both sides for the personal attacks.

To those generally on my side, juan and wil, mongidig(?), please rise above. Calling them idiots does not help our case.

To the reasonable libs (you know who you are), please rise above. Calling them idiots doesn't help your case.

The personal bull**** drives me away from this forum. Wading through it makes it a waste of my time. Then again, I think several of the libtrolls actually want us all driven away, cuz there is real discussion here.

That might well seem true of anyone who isn't anti-trump. It's a very difficult time for many of us politically but that's how it is and this is a politics forum.

In any case, there's no reason for being nonPC. If it was innocent then it's not such a big deal to avoid.

It has nothing to do with Trump, and you know it - you and WhosNext (who I assume wil managed to get rid of, hence the latter's return) spent some time discussing wil's last abortive attempt at 'discussion' and correctly decided (much to his chagrin) it was only fit for the bin.

no im asking for christians to be added to the vulnerable group list. im not a christian so it wouldnt be a safe space for me personally although if i ever needed a safe space and they were a protected group, i might just try to use that

I did delete a lot of posts. The upset seems to be that I didn't delete some from you/goofy but instead pointed out that 'mong' and 'mongo' were to be avoided as 'misspellings' for PC reasons.

Maybe you disagree that they aren't PC. That's something I will always reconsider but that's the only reason they are an issue.

That's incorrect though goofy. That got mentioned specifically because I didn't delete some of your posts. I dont think anyone was being coddled but if anyone was then it was you as instead of deleting your posts I asked you not to do it anymore. in fact that was because they had content and it's a new issue rather than anything to do with 'coddling'. The PC rules apply to everyone.

Clearly the forum is changing so I respectively disagree. Outbreaks of posts to be deleted are significantly rarer than they used to be and that progess will be continued.

Oh for sure, it's definitely changing. mongidig started posting less in the Trump thread so it got derailed much less often and needed much less moderator attention. Then he comes back and drops a bunch of racist takes (which he is rarely if ever told by the mods is not ok, because you coddle racists) and all of a sudden moderators have to start scrubbing the thread clean. Gee, I wonder what the ****ing change is here?

If he or anyone continues then the timeouts will start/get longer. It's progressing in the right direction and that will continue.

Being unPC isn't acceptable and people are very clearly and pretty constantly being told that.
