Most Mods are sad and insecure Most Mods are sad and insecure

Especially since Hildebeast lost. Discuss.

How sad and insecure is it to create an account because a mod hurt your feelings? Discuss.

I haven't been impressed by the quality of 2p2 mods as a whole, but some of them are just regular decent folks. A few bad apples, sure. I've found it's best to just steer clear of their nonsense whenever possible.

I wouldn't dream of posting regularly in the main Politards forum, that pretty much makes you a hostage to fortune, arbitrary and capricious fortune.

Seriously? What in god's name can you not clean up enough to pull off saying in the main forum?

You pretty much have to be sad and insecure to want to be a mod. You work for free, and the only reward is the illusion of power over other posters. You can see why some of them degenerate into petty power plays to prove to themselves that it's worth the amount of free time they put into it.

This thread is a turd. Nobody touched it for like for six days, and then 13ball gets bored, and feels like touching a turd. To his credit, it could be a candy bar. Epic product placement. They should have an Academy Award for best product placement, discuss.

I agree! I watched it 6 times in a row one night.

I'd put Bad Santa slightly ahead of both Caddyshack and Citizen Kane.

A Clockwork Orange is the greatest movie ever made. You might disagree but you would be wrong.
12-31-2016 , 03:28 PM
Rushmore

this is mat. curious about this one. agree, but why do you think so?

this movie pushed me, philosophically, into a more pessimistic and right wing mindset.

It probably pushed me a bit into a right wing mindset as well. Until I realized that "right wing mindset" was all posturing about freedom.

Why I love the movie above all others is probably too complicated for me to figure out right now. Probably something about the age I grew up, the pure shock factor about how it treated Christianity, and the large dose of mushrooms me and my friends took the first time I watched it.

A Clockwork Orange and Rushmore are both fantastic movies. I do think Orange subtly pushed me a little right in my thinking, as I look back on it.

What did I miss in ACO that pushed people right?

Didn't I put something about Clockwork pushing me right in my post? I'm pretty sure I did, weird.

Perhaps the futility of the American liberals' love of criminals and trying to help them? Originally, the book ended in the opposite fashion, but Kubrick wanted a shock ending to the movie.

The illusion of power? If you wanted to be mod to power trip you are greatly rewarded by the high volume of pathetic whiners like OP, Wil, adios, etc.

A good question. I would guess Alex is seen as "pure evil" and so therefore justifies a ruthless response to any evil in the world.

No for me it was pushed to the side of freedom, liberty, and small govt which I used to think was to the right before I smartened up and realized it was just lip service.
