O'Reilly facing multiple accusations of sexual harassment has led to many advertisers dropping their ads from The Factor.

Now he is either on vacation or 'vacation'. I'm thinking it's 'vacation' and that he won't return. Post predictions/vote in pole along w/ any comments itt.

He has brought Fox literally billions. The only way he goes is if he retires voluntarily.

He sure has but what about now? And 'voluntarily' might deserve quotes also.

If I were Fox News I'd make Larry Elder

an offer he couldn't refuse to take over the time slot.

lol I'm sure all the White Grievance addicts who tune in to get their fix of O'Reilly will be thrilled with your choice of replacement.

He'll continue to do the same since not one of his viewers gives a flying ****, and his advertisers will stop receiving hate mail after a month?

I think that anybody who's familiar w/ Elder would approve of my choice. For a Fox anchor, that is.

He might "decide to retire" at [insert some random time here].

His ratings are up cos people don't like watching commercials. Super short commercial breaks recently.

They should take lessons from Howard Stern and run squatty potty ads.

Yes, but totally grunching.

He's paid his dues.

Read article from Yahoo! which stated it's over and he may not even get to do a send-off.

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Hahaha

Nothing says "irrefutable" like a history of settlements. Worked for Michael Jackson.

Wow they got rid of him. Didn't see that coming tbh. I wonder who takes the 9PM slot if Tucker is moving to 8PM.

I do feel a little bad for O'Reilly because I'm sure there were some accusations that were false, mixed in with the true ones. But certainly he's no saint, so it is what it is.

Edit: Oh it's The Five moving to 9PM. Shame cos I liked it at 5PM. Prolly the best show on Fox News tbh.

I hear that they might give a show to Eric Bolling. He's kinda like O'Reilly-lite.

Why do you assume some accusations are false?

If even one is true, like you believe, why do you feel bad for him?

I'm not assuming, it's just my read on the situation. I worded it a bit wrong.

And yeah I shouldn't feel bad tbh. It's just so sudden and he was a good host tbh. But yeah, life goes on and I guess it's just karma what happened to him.

One interesting point is that Tucker Carlson, Bolling and Jesse Watters are overall more radically opinionated, so I wouldn't be celebrating as a liberal at least from that angle. But I don't think they're harassing women, so that's the good part.

But then again Tucker and Watters strike me as the kind of people who don't value women as much as O'Reilly even, so maybe they are harassing women, what do I know

Tides come in, tides go out, you can't explain that!

He was a good host...

Great point.

Do I have to go further on examples of the time O'Reilly/Fox News said outrageously stupid things?

This is the place that said Birmingham is a Muslim only city ffs.
04-19-2017 , 07:05 PM
That Birmingham argument is just plain invalid in this context.

I don't watch Fox news much but I hope Dana Perino gets the job because she is smart and hot as hell.
