Honestly, I think the insistence on using the word "racist" is counterproductive as it just provokes the dumbest of responses, and these things can be easily argued without using it.

I separate the ideas you've expressed into two different groups. Supporting racist policies = racist. Agreed. Supporting a candidate with racist views may not be racist. I'm sure that'll get flamed, but if you can't see that, just ask yourself if you agree with every view of every candidate you've supported.
I also don't accept that Trump has done anything racist as President. He was accused of expressing some vile views about black people. He said something stupid and possibly racist about a Mexican American judge. But he hasn't done anything racist as President that we know of.
Full disclosure, I didn't vote for Trump because I don't live in a swing state.
Fine, who cares whether we classify the ridiculous and dumb **** that he's done as president as racist or not? Like, the things he's done, #withfewexceptions, are ridiculous and dumb and make The United States of America worse.
