Why is that not civil? The dilemma of the left in a dark cartoon.

goofyballer, after getting past the ridiculous thread name on the Politics forum in the recent London terrorist attack, can you even read that thread without puking in your mouth just a little bit? It is just incredible that such misinformation and ignorance about terrorism and Islamist ideology is left unchallenged there.

I am just reading that thread and I notice that either nobody wants to correct misinformation or they don't dare to, probably since they don't want to get on the wrong side of the ignorant mob prevalent on that forum.

lol, you're butthurt that your thread has 30 posts and nobody wants to come play with you. So much hope for a "civil" P7 discussion at the start of the thread, now OP is posting off-topic cartoons (I thought this was the Manchester thread?) fantasizing about dead Trump protesters after 2 weeks of no activity.
06-07-2017 , 03:30 PM
Goofy, the reason this thread has only 30 posts is because Chez effectively shut down any meaningful discussion on the subject.

It is a poignant cartoon, the reason you dislike it has nothing to do with a lack of relevance.

It's not really poignant. So what is the relevance of the **** Trump sign and the rainbow flag? Why are they in there when I'm pretty sure neither of these items were anywhere to be seen that day (unless you have evidence to the contrary)

It has to do with the total blindness of the Islamist threat to values they hold dear.

How much do you guys know about the Muslim Brotherhood and their agenda? This ideology which is diametrical to liberal ideals, gay rights and anti fascism is not limited to ISIS and Al-Quada, the Muslim Brotherhood has had a large influence on the evolution of many Muslim countries in the fundamentalist direction. Egypt and Turkey are some of the most worrying examples.

The leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood are interviewed below, just listen to what they have to say.

The '**** Trump' is a jab at the Liberals fighting tooth and nail to any anti Muslim-fundamentalist measures he proposes.

Yikes, is Britain on the verge of repealing gay rights laws due to their growing Muslim population??? That sounds scary!

Ah so it's not really a poignant tribute to those who lost their lives in London it's really some US political nonsense. Gotcha.

Gay rights are non existent in our majority Muslim suburbs, in that sense they live in a parallel society. Women suffer the same restrictions to living a free life independent of their family values. Anti-liberal values are allowed to flourish due to our acceptance of intolerance mostly due to that the truth is too hard to deal with.

I am pretty sure London had anti-Trump protests.

Pretty sure London has had a ton of protests so why the Trump thing in the pic? Is it because it's been done by some 'murrican trying to make a parochial political point over something that happened in a foreign country (the UK)? If so, that's pretty backward.

As I said earlier it's not a poignant cartoon at all and now you've admitted that. It's basically intended to be a political cartoon for a certain type of audience in the US. It has no relevance to a UK audience or this thread to be honest.
06-07-2017 , 05:01 PM
Why would it be solely directed towards the US, clearly it is not. Poignant cartoons can be political, what are you misunderstanding?

Talk of a wall, Trump banner...

Kind of a giveaway.

Anyway, I've said enough. I don't need to waste anymore time on this one.
