As used by LTers, the above are all gibberish words. The word you are looking for is 'violence'.

Quote:
... do[es some goon violently] prevent someone from selling their home, from forming a corporation, etc.?...
The laws of the land say what can be owned, what can be transacted, the formation of corporations, etc, etc. All those things are only legal constructions. They have absolutely no meaning outside of a particular legal context, a context dependant on time, place, and governmental enforcement capability.

If the law of the land says it's legal to own and sell a home, or to form a corporation, and some goon violently kicks the crap out of the real estate agent, or incorporation lawyer, to prevent the deal from happening, well that's where the police come in. Other than that, I'm at a loss here about what you are saying.

Quote:
... some other goal - enforced equality of income or something like that, presumably, though you really haven't told me what - you hinted when you said socialism doesn't alienate the workers from the means of production...
I didn't 'hint', that's what socialism means. You've already read and quoted back regarding Mondragon having pay differentials... so you already should know that equality of income has nothing to do with it.

Quote:
... every government action is [enforced by violence]... Hence, every government action must be justified. I'm fine with your applying the same principle to the government protecting property rights too...
So... I guess the question I'm asking you is what governmental violence you condone, and why?

force, violence... sure, whatever. I'm fine with either word. Government enforcement is violence, always. I can switch to violence instead of force, but I maintain they are the same.

Anyway, I just don't have time now, and will be somewhat out of touch all next week, so I'll try to respond more in a couple of weeks - forever in internet time

In casual conversation, they are commonly synonymous. The problem with certain LTers is that they don't use 'force' that way at all. Instead, it's all tied up with the loltastical gibberish and sophistry surrounding the NAP, etc. Using the world 'violence' instead avoids going down that foul rabbit hole.

No hurries. It's all good.
