Lots of that itt. It's bad enough when whites try to act superior to other whites on race issues, but gets ludicrous when they try to act superior over people of color on race issues. I guess they just can't help themselves.

They are supremacists in their understanding of White supremacy.

I saw this in the local indie theater. Its eye opening and an insight into a time that I wish we had moved further past. I also enjoyed how they related historical cinema to the characters/events. Well done movie.

I saw this available for streaming on Amazon Prime.

Oh, good, because there is no chance it was coming to my local theatre.

While we're talking about Africans and slavery you might need to be a bit more nuanced about the different conceptions of slavery. There certainly wasn't the racial solidarity we would want to project onto them in the past because to them being black wasn't as consequential as being from this or that tribe, etc., but we shouldn't sell them as short to imagine their conception of slavery was the same as ours was.

You are right that hopefully we can overcome the part of human nature that wants to unjustly take advantage of each others.

I actually went out of my way to see this film in a theater only to find it sold out (because it was only playing in a very few places). I wouldn't have thought that, after completely forgetting about the movie, Mat Sklansky would be the person to remind me of it. That's just bizarre AF. I gotta see it now.

That's where I saw it. Also available on Amazon Prime and very interesting, albeit unrelated, is "DamNation".

I applied some Baldwin today by stating that 'I wasn't going to believe some certain politicians' words because I have seen their acts.'

When the opportunity comes, apply Baldwin.
