Hello, people from 2+2, i'm a brazillian and i'm thinking here about which are the best options to make this protests and people trying to make some kind of revolution to actually make some changes in our country.

The problem here is that we've been destroyed by the government for much time, the governors can steal how much they want, if we discover and process them and try to arrest them, it's not even effective anymore, because they're making a new law that protects them against it. So basically anyone who can steal public money won't be arrested anymore, which is the most absurd law possible in a country.

Not only that: our schools are terrible, hospitals and our taxes are super high: 27,5% for people, 35% for companies, 120% tax for imports(yes, a PS3 and iphone costs like 2x-3x more than in US).

People are in the streets fighting right now, policeman are shooting at them, throwing granades(the only thing that brazillians are good to do, to defend their governors), so i came here to ask: what is the best thing to do to break down this government?

i'm a decent programmer, i know asome about artifical intelligence, nothing about hacking and networks, much about economics

i thought about thinking in a way to attack the government treasure site or bovespa(brazilian stock market), each one would have different breakdowns:

attacking the government treasure site would reduce a lot the traffic of money to the central bank of brazil, which would induce them to print more money to supply that, which would increase the inflation a lot, and which is a form of stealing from the country, which is makes the people more angry, increasing the number of people in the streets, reaching total paralization of the country and getting also the big companies to our side.

if everyone is against the government, they will fall.
it's somekind of terrorism, i could be jailed, well, not the best idea of the world, also DDOSing the treasure site for like 10 days would be absurdely insane.

another strategy i came with would be to attack bovespa(stock exchanging of brazil), maybe if we could paralyze it, other countries would pay more attention to our problem and try to help, it wouldn't have many economic problems like the other problem, but could have less effect too.

what do you think?

i have plenty of free time(some tests but whatever, i can't stand here when i see that i can fight for my country in such crucial point in history, since we had never fought this government before like that...), so i can learn about hacking and other things, i have also some friends that hack and friends that are smart enough that could give me some hours of programming/math calculations/testing/debugging too.

If the eastern europeans aren't all over extortion-DDOSing any target of financial importance, there's no way you're going to have an effect.

Well first of all, you need to stay free and alive to accomplish anything. Posting on the interwebs that you are looking to do industrial sabotage to the banking or stock trading institutions ain't helping you in that regard. Seriously, safety first... don't ever do this again. In fact, I'd consider moving right now if I were you.

Secondly, as TomCowley pointed out, attacking these targets you suggested would be worthless. I fact less than worthless.

What you need to think about is staging a Revolutionary General Strike (Wikipedia on General Strike) In recent history GSs have brought about regime change in both the rump Yugoslavia, and more recently in Tunis.

Shutting down the secondary paper pushers, like the bankers and stock jobbers won't shut down an economy, not even close. To have a successful GS you will need to shut down the actual means of production... the physical factories, actual farms. And as always the key weak point is logistics. You need to block the roads, railroads, airports, sea ports, and a few key industries, especially key industries oriented towards exports, to be successful.

Any hacking skilz will be much more successful against these targets, which, with the exception of airports, are usually almost wide open, and not the heavy security employed in the financial sectors. Although I want to stress... the real fight will be out on the streets, no amount of keyboarding by itself could ever be successful.

Finally, I highly recommend using a strategy of Gandhi and ML.King style non-violence. It really is the only sane strategy to use when you are hopelessly outgunned. And it really feels righteous!
