Why do you get to call my outrage fake? Just because you have no empathy for the thousands of people killed by guns doesn't mean no one does.

As a Canadian looking in, gun culture in the US is one my favorite aspects of American society. It's uniquely American, no other culture loves and promotes gun ownership like the US does. In most states, it seems like passing unfavorable gun legislation is political suicide, goes to show that the prevailing ideology in the US is immune to leftist media manipulation.

The gun grabbers position of "Why does someone need an assault rifle?" is dripping with liberal arrogance. You don't get to tell other people what they need, that's not how needs work. You don't need a reason to own guns, it's on gun grabbers to explain why you shouldn't, and their arguments are awful.

Gun owners should support their local gun groups, and check out and support my favorite group JPFO (Jews for the Preservation of Firearm Ownership).

Society makes choices on what people are allowed to have all the time. Asking why someone should have something is the first step in making that determination when the downside to it is 20+ dead kids or a dozen dead movie goers. "I want it" seems much more awful than "so we can limit how many people are killed by spree killers."

Yes, because there is a superior alternative.

I am in favor of superior alternatives to current firearms as well. Biometrics, registration, etc. I would have no problem with a law that requires all firearms to only work with the owners and to be registered under those owners' names. Full databases of criminal, mental, etc. records to go with it.

Maybe Mt. Dew will eventually be on the chopping block.
