This isn't supposed to be anything more than an amusing anecdote, but my wife has taught sociology 101 for about a decade now, and she introduces the section on gender by asking the class what the best and worst things are about being a man or woman.

The top of the "best about being a man" list is "being able to pee standing up" more or less every year, and the "worst about being a man" list is usually pretty short. The draft usually gets mentioned.

The "best about being a woman" list is usually shorter, includes something about getting free drinks, and the "worst about being a woman" list is usually quite a bit longer. Being able to get pregnant usually makes both lists...
