When did this happen? I know I don't pay much attention to your posts but I don't recall you ever mentioning this, and since you weren't involved in the early portion of the thread what were we supposed to do?

i'm actually a little annoyed by his reply. he says he should be listened to because he's gay, and then proceeds to say that it doesn't matter whether he's gay or not in having an opinion of milo and his politics.
01-08-2017 , 10:27 AM
I figure he's just trying to get attention.

And that his opinion was the same as all the other liberal blogs. Not sure why he needed to make this about "ignoring his opinion" then. But maybe we're misunderstanding him.

I identify as Questioning, because even though I am pretty sure I am a straight male at the moment, as a scientist I don't go around assigning 0% probabilities to many things, so who knows which way the wind will blow tomorrow.

As for your opinion, I can't say I value it too highly after your shameful display of integrity in the election betting thread, sorry buddy

This is a very good point. I'm bi, and earlier in my life was far more into guys than girls, but have been monogamous with a woman for many years now. Who knows where i'll be in 10 years.

I would think BBC Radio 4 listeners may have a lot of issues to deal with.

Kind of like how white people who live in the suburbs keep telling minorities who live in the cities what racism really is?

People can have an opinion on Milo even if they aren't gay. Milo speaks on a wide range of topics, so he's fair game. He doesn't call himself a provocateur for nothing.

Is it ok to call a straight guy "gay" or "f@ggot" as a slur?

Is it ok to call a person "******ed" as a slur? It is my understanding that this is highly offensive to those who suffer from ******ation as well as to their families, no matter who you are speaking about. Try to show some respect to one of the most vulnerable groups on the planet.

WHY is it amazing Wil? Try and write a sentence or two about why 5ive and I are such horrible people.
The evidence is clear. Your behavior is absolutely disgusting. Chez had to warn you yesterday after bringing my child into an argument, didn't he? It goes way further than you simply being a stupid person. You are an actual *******, and if we were in person you'd never act like that because you know there would be consequences, which makes you a pussy because you'll say it online.

5ive is a racist, who spews racist things. There is a huge difference between me and someone like 5ive. I may say things that people think may be racist, 5ive is actually saying racist things. When you call someone a "house negro", it's about as racist a thing a person can say to someone. I'd much rather have him call me an Asian slur. You are white, so you don't understand what I'm talking about.

You're an idiot, Kerowo, and the more I deal with you the closer I've come to understand you are totally worthless in any single way to interact with. You can't understand extremely simple concepts, you insult, berate, and try to silence anyone you disagree with, you are intellectually dishonest, you attack my 4 year old child trying to get a rise out of me. I'm not the only person who says it, in just the last few days how many people have come forth and pointed out your arguments and comments are awful?

Again, it's your life, live it as you see fit, but don't sit here and try to talk me out of my opinion of you. You earned that opinion, I didn't pull it out of thin air.

These two seem very different. Dan's comment seems more like "I may be open to it" where yours is "I like both, but liked one more than the other for a while". Sexuality is pretty complex. I've heard people say "everyone has at least thought about it", and I disagree with that.

I've thought about this in particular quite a lot. Just as older gay guys don't like the word "queer" but younger ones don't mind it, the word "******ed" has a very different meaning to older people. I don't know where that cutoff is, but for people my age we used that word for everything. Of course, we also used "gay" a lot too, and I don't think that's OK.

Obviously, no one my age would use that word to belittle someone actually having a mental issue. My point is that if someone from my generation used it, they probably don't mean offense in the way you may think.

Wil, I used your child because there were no rules against not bringing family members into it and I know it's one of your many trigger points and because it was so innocuous I knew your peeps would over react. Read the quote again, I didn't call your daughter a cumdumpster, I didn't imply that your daughter was a cumdumpster, I used the word cumdumpster and daughter in the same sentence.

So you have one post where I mention your daughter and that makes me disgusting? You slag me every chance you get, you question my honesty, my sanity and my intelligence almost every day. That's why I don't give you any benefits of the doubt or pull any punches when insulting you. I'm sure you're an internet tough guy in real life too...

You would have to quote this before I'm going to agree with you. Like it is possible to use the word cumdumpster and daughter in a sentence without insulting your daughter it's possible to use the word negro without being racist. It's difficult to see how you can suggest the black man needs the police to go upside their head no and then to keep them down as not racist though.

No you're the idiot! How exactly do I silence people who disagree with me? Is it any different from the way you try to silence people who disagree with you? I find it amusing you are giving me **** for insulting and berating people in the same paragraph that you insult an berate me. Intellectually dishonest? LMAO. I didn't attack your 4 year old, I used your 4 year old in a sentence. Weren't you ok with gamergate and all the threats women were getting on the internet? You seem very oversensitive to people mentioning your daughter.

It is very amusing to me that the people who agree with you are people who couldn't follow simple rules in PU or are conservatives like you, it's almost like people who think like you are supporting your position on me.

Anyway, I hope your daughter had a great holiday but you can **** off any time you want.

I know they don't mean offense, and if they thought they were hurting a disabled person's feelings, then they'd feel bad. I used it as well up until recently, when it was shown to me that the vulnerable group doesn't like it and wants the word to stop being used altogether.

It's good you've admitted it, but you are still admitting you're a scumbag. You just are. Would it be OK if I did the same in reverse? Absolutely not, and I wouldn't do that because it's beneath me. Apparently for people like you and Fly it's not. That's why you're a dickhead, Kerowo. You freely admit what you did was scummy, but you're still trying to justify it.

I'm not a tough guy, I'm a middle aged man with a family. I'm telling you right now though that if you said this to my face we would get into a physical altercation, without question, no matter how big you are. You don't go around insulting people's family members, that's common knowledge. Yet you'll do it here because you know I have no recourse. Again, that makes you a pussy.

The rest of your post is garbage.

"Yeah I'm pretty sure it's not though."

it really is. i can speak from the perspective of a 46 year old white guy. that's my perspective. i'm not anonymous, you can easily find my phone numbers and home address on the internet.

i don't know who you are. i'm assuming you are white. but when we have these threads talking about muslims or blacks or gays or whatever, the conversations almost never have somebody identifying as black or muslim....

that makes the conversation much less interesting to me and, yes, is my biggest complaint when talking about these threads with other people.

Yes, it's a generational thing. Younger people today are taught these words are hurtful and shouldn't be used, so they know better. When we were growing up we'd use those words every other sentence, it was just part of our vocabulary. Alec Baldwin got into trouble for calling a reporter a "f-ggot", and I think he used that word a few times previously. That's just something we used to say to people to insult them, kind of how "bitch" is used today. Calling someone a "bitch" is pretty common and not really looked down upon as the word "f-ggot", yet they are essentially interchangeable. It's just that there hasn't been a movement against the word "bitch" yet.

Uh, huh.

Hey so real recently this forum has had a wee bit of a problem with explicit white supremacists and alt-right posters popping up more often after Trump's election. Like right now we have a thread about existential threat Muslims pose to Western civilization, a thread blaming the spike in Chicago murder rate on black lives matter, this thread about ****ing Milo... The response to this was to mod chezlaw so he could infract people who were mean to those posters, for the sake of "the discourse".

Do you think that makes this forum more or less likely to attract Muslims, blacks, gays, etc.?

Well, you are uniquely positioned to do something about it.

You and 2+2 have been proactive in welcoming woman folk onto the forums. BTW, TYVM sir for those efforts. However, this is primarily a poker website, and gambling is harem (forbidden) under Islam... so I gotta figure welcoming posters from that demographic will always remain a challenge.
01-08-2017 , 01:19 PM
Like Mat, you seem like a decent enough guy, but your bigot questionnaire thread is a great example of precisely this issue.

For you, a 46 year old white guy, the big racial issue in America today is fear that you might get called a mean word because of opinions you hold.

Setting aside that you can always change your opinions, do you think in the age of Jeff Sessions and Steve Bannon in the White House that minorities think about racism in the same way?

As opposed to the shining example of diversity in the main forum?

If you don't like it here, leave. It's that simple. We like it here, you made your cesspool, don't be upset when it stinks.
