Almost everything coming out of Vox is crap. So when I am referring to Vox's reputation, I am referring to the end-to-end pieces of dookie that they mass produce as if they are a **** factory. Did Vox publish you? I don't see how someone exists who can find reasons to dismiss stimulating intellectuals like Gladwell and Talib who then turns around and defends the reputation of Vox. I was super excited when Vox first launched. There mission statement or whatever seemed to address a lot of my own criticisms of current event coverage. Then they turned out to be the most evil people, just cynical beyond description. They are straight propaganda. Reading Vox is like listening to Hitler youth tell the Third Reich's version of history, but the child claims to be anti-Nazis. It's unbearable.

I lost confidence in the SPLC's judgement on prejudice against Muslims with the article condemning Aayan Hirsi Ali and Maajid Nawaz. The evidence (and standard of evidence) they used was laughable and the conclusions obviously wrong.

I don't agree. Prejudice and hate crimes directed against Muslims are absolutely something that an organization like the SPLC should be tracking as a resource for journalists. Conflating that with criticism of Islam or specific versions of Islams, even the strong criticism you see from Hirsi Ali or Nawaz, does a disservice both to them and to the reporters that rely on the SPLC as a credible source on extremism.

Also, given the history of credible death threats that Hirsi Ali in particular has received, they should have adopted a higher standard before declaring her an anti-Muslim extremist, instead of the shoddy rumor-mongering they exhibited in their publication.
