The arguement for whether the woman deserved a different payout than $375,000 is not of merit.
Why isn't a higher 'tax' levied against the ultra rich for violent crimes in the U.S.? A $5M penalty, perhaps allocated to a victim's support group, would help deter future offenses, while providing more meaningful liquidity.
