ikes vs. DIB could wind up being a very hard-fought contest. Like, some trench warfare ****.

I don't see ikes trying to do anything, but is could easily see #dudebitterly getting worked into a tizzy over this.

Results got way too lopsided way too fast. Voted for the lowest vote count in each match up to try to even things out.

Got super angry that Congress voted 563-0 or w/e to pay government workers after the shutdown last year blaming it on media/liberal conspiracy. Argued that we shouldn't have raised the debt ceiling and argued Republicans came out of the fight ahead in public opinion despite most Republicans directly saying "whoops that was stupid".

Here's the thing: At this elite level, it comes down to what's the worst posting behavior. And far worse than being aggressively wrong is making the forum unreadable.

To my recollection, before it was co-opted by jingoist blockheads to refer to 911, the slogan 'Never Forget' meant never forget the holocaust. I believe in Never Forget, in it's original use, without qualification or special allowances for any state or group.

I truly believe, as do many, that it is readily apparent that the inhuman crimes and atrocities committed by Israel against the Palestinians are largely ethnically motivated. It is only fitting therefore, in the face of such crimes being executed by a state and if the comparison across some aspect is has merit, to make the comparison to the singular iconic example of a violent state whose racial or ethnic supremacy was (as it is with Israel) central to it's character and motivation. This is not technically antisemitic to do so, nor is it in any way other way antisemitic. It is merely practical and in keeping with remembering the lesson of the holocaust, which is to maintain extreme vigilance against ever letting anything like that develop again.

next time anyone wonders why there's no peace in the Middle East, think of the above post and remember that people who have never been to the Middle East or studied it at any institution post from their parents' basement a fundamental misunderstanding of the entire conflict while maintaining they know exactly what's going on

His current meltdown doesn't seem like a good reason to publicly shame him imo. Yes, he and those who quote him are making most threads unreadable, but that shouldn't overly influence voting imo. Recency bias and all that.

Thinking about it, it seems like recent posting should weight pretty heavily. This is about who goes in the title of the bad posters thread, so it should probably be who's posting poorly right now.

The combination of Spanklish, ridiculous white knighting of ****ty posters, demonizing of everyone else, and relatively high volume makes him pretty clearly the worst poster in this forum right now.

His current meltdown has lasted weeks now. People have given him genuine advice and expressed genuine concern but he's just marching forward. I have little sympathy for him at this point.

I still feel like the person who "wins" should be permabanned.

That would change how people vote so much.
