Milo wrote the introduction to Vox Day's book and Day is Cernovitch's publisher/editor. They both claim not to be Alt-Right.

Milo is not alt right , in fact im pretty sure they despise him. For all his faults he did make a great point about identity politics in one of his speeches that no one associated with the people currently identifying as alt right would make. In the early days he stuck up for them and said they were young edgy conservatives or something like that. Obviously this is not accurate now but I can forgive this mistake as I made the same one. It was an easy mistake to make as it was a young movement and many in that movement used to share memes which I assumed were satire. Looking back I think some were serious.

I think its just a handy way to slander people to give yourself the moral high ground and to dismiss people in alot of cases. Again that is not to you in particular but just my observations of alot of people on the left these days.

Dont really know who this Cernavich character is and couldn't find the book you were referring to. I know that alot of people associated with the alt right have distanced themselves as they fractured and are now more militant and radical. I believe the genuine alt right is very small and doesnt have alot of power. People are saying that Breitbart is alt right but i dont believe that is accurate either if we are taking the alt right to be white separatists/ supremacists.

Heard little bits here and there about Seth Rich but dont know too much. Will try to look into it. I know that Jordan Charitan has dismissed it and he is someone on the left whose opinion I think I can trust.

Does this seem like it points to any kind of well defined or organised group?

I'm 98% positive superslug doesn't know what 'left' means, much less 'alt-left'.

I disagree. Milo consistently defended the Alt-Right--although he has disavowed Richard Spencer. He also called himself a "fellow-traveler" and is now protesting people alongside Pamela Geller, yet another racist conspiracy theorist.

And he certainly isn't against "identity politics.":

Quote:
In January 2016, Yiannopoulos co-founded the Yiannopoulos Privilege Grant with Margaret MacLennan.[58] The grant planned to disburse 50 grants of $2,500 to disadvantaged white men to assist them with their tertiary expenses, starting in the 2016–17 academic year; 100 grants of the same amount would be disbursed in the second year, and 200 in the third.
He is definitely hated by some of the St0rmfr0nt crowd. Then again, he's writing forwards for white nationalist authors. His defense of the alt-right and continued associations--as well as his joining in with the racist trolling of Leslie Jones--make him alt right as far as I'm concerned.

I missed this Smoking Gun Article on Based Stickman, hero of the Alt-Right.

The latest hero of the alt-right, a California man who has beaten and maced anti-Trump protesters on the streets of Berkeley, is a thrice-convicted felon who has served three separate prison terms, jumped bail, twice violated parole, used cocaine, LSD, and meth, and was described by his own lawyer as having “severe psychological problems,” court records show.

Kyle Chapman, a 41-year-old rough boy committed to destroying the “neo-Marxist scourge,” was arrested March 4 following a melee at a rally organized by Trump supporters. While marchers purportedly were there in support of free speech, Chapman--who has spent a combined 10 years behind bars--came dressed for a fight.

UPDATE: Community Reacts To Southampton Village Board Candidate Using Slur In Call To Police

Quote:
Without even hearing the recording on Friday, Ms. Smith, 53, confirmed that she had made the call, then repeatedly used the “n-word” throughout a phone call with a reporter.

Ms. Smith said her use of the racial slur was no big deal, and she should be entitled to use it whenever she wants. She suggested that comedian Eddie Murphy made a career out of using the word, and added that she grew up hearing it on television in the 1970s show “All in the Family.”

“Now, all of a sudden, I can’t use it?” Ms. Smith said in the phone interview on Friday. “Sorry—I live in a black neighborhood. I came here and didn’t see color.”

The Daily Caller posts a story on Confederate monuments written by a white nationalist.

Relevant to this thread:

Quote:
“Kessler is representative of what hate looks like today, operating at the center of several movements that have arisen over the last few years,” said Oren Segal, Director of the ADL’s Center on Extremism. “He clearly sympathizes with white supremacists, but like many on the alt-right seeks to deflect such notions by presenting his words and activity as a mere response to multiculturalism and an assault from the left.”

This is gold:

Trolls Tricked Conservatives Into Holding A Massive Rally To Defend A Texas Monument

Quote:
After weeks of planning, several hundred people from across Texas and from other Southern states converged in Houston on Saturday, prepped for battle and with a serious mission: Protect the Sam Houston Monument at all costs.

They swarmed Hermann Park early in the morning, decked in camo, leather vests, Infowars jackets, and Texas pride shirts, toting American, Texan, and "Don't Tread on Me" flags, "Stand With Sam" signs, and semi-automatic rifles and snipers.

A 40-person-deep security team patrolled the area, while the hydration team passed out water, waiting in the Texas summer heat for enemy leftist groups to arrive.
Quote:
But fueled by a May 19 Facebook post from a group called Texas Antifa, rumors swirled that leftist groups wanted the Sam Houston Monument to be next, sparking an intensive "Don't Mess With Texas" campaign.

"We're about to have a huge event in Houston June 10 with the combined forces of several large groups, perhaps our biggest ever. The Fascists better not show up or they will be limping home bruised, broken, hurt, and crying with their tails tucked between their legs," the group said, including maps of the park and directions.
This is so good. These groups will believe anything.

This is disappointing. I watched this guy nearly get shot when he was livestreaming coverage of the Ferguson protests, seemed like a very respectable guy.
