Not that it'll matter to his die hard followers but he's put himself in a super ****ty position. Either he has to sacrifice his principles and follow a bunch of government regulations he says he doesn't believe in and that he's calling on people to revolt over or he ends up facing serious consequences.

What principles? Dude was a Marine, then bailed out and became an employee of the Russian gov't's propaganda department, and now is all about being down with the man and anarchyism. Guys like LirvA are those magical cash cows who really can be fooled all of the time.

Oh boy... today's was supposed to be the day! The start of jury selection for the 'Liberty' movement trail of the millennium. The trial of that stupid, stupid, stupid con artiest... Adam 'The Man' Kokesh. However, his trail has now been pushed back to 2013-11-18. So... more LOLtastically self-inflicted days in the can for The Man... what an idiot.

If my fellow Politards haven't done so as yet, I highly recommend checking out the official Adam 'The Man' -vs- the Government web site. The shear amount of LOLZ waiting there ready to be poured out (they don't even need squeezing) is literally overwhelming. I'll need to break it up into several posts so as to do it up right.

But first, let's take a broader look at nullification in DC.

Prospective jurors who take the subway to D.C. Superior Court and exit near the National Building Museum see these words: “Good jurors nullify bad laws” and “You have the right to ‘hang’ the jury with your vote if you cannot agree with other jurors.”... District prosecutors have been worried that the message could sway their cases. In the past week alone, they have asked judges in three *cases to ensure that jurors had neither seen nor been influenced by the billboard...

Kirsten Tynan of the Montana-based Fully Informed Jury Association, whose name and Web address is included on the billboard, said the nonprofit group generally challenges crimes it calls “victimless,”... James Babb, a Philadelphia-based graphics artist who organized a fundraising campaign to put up the billboard, said he raised $3,000 in about a week through Facebook...

In a gang-related murder trial set to begin this week, prosecutors filed a motion asking the judge to question potential jurors about whether they had seen the billboard... In their memo, prosecutors... wrote that jurors who see the billboard may think “they don’t have to abide by an oath” and that it could encourage them “to hang..."

The billboard also comes as Adam Kokesh... is preparing to go to trial after posting an Independence Day video on YouTube of himself apparently loading a shotgun in Freedom Plaza... but the case was pushed back to at least Nov. 18. Kokesh’s supporters have advocated for jury nullification in his case.

Tynan said the Metro billboard was not directly aimed at the Kokesh...
LOL @ The Man's tiny army of sheeple thinking they can pull off a nullification for their pied-piper leader. And LOL @ The Man himself LOLtastically claiming his web-hit-promoting stunt was an act of civil disobeidence... and then turning right around and trying to 'angle-shot' the courts to get out of being punished for it.

What a luser, what an obvious con artiest.

Actually The Man probably does need the $$$$$. I haven't gone through all the LOLiciousness on the Adam The Man -vs- the Government website, and the freeadam.org website... but it seems he has been relying on public defenders up until his trial. Also one of the reasons he was denied bond is that he has no visible means of support.

And, like I said I haven't gone thru all this non-sense, but seems like two different crooked sheeple have ripped off all the Money-Bomb $$$$$ that the other sheeple contributed to "Free The Man" so far, together into the mid five figures. The first was the proprietor of Shield Mutual, which LOLtastically advertises itself as the first DRO in the world. And the second it seems was a volunteer staffer at his own Adam The Man -vs- the Government website.

You gotta know your're a luser at being a con artiest, when other con artiests are ripping off your own long con. What a tool.

It's more like lol you because you don't think one super Patriotic gun fiend could be selected for jury duty and hang the case because he or she disagrees with the DC gun ban.

lol are you laying odds for this kind of thing actually happening?

Yeah, its possible, but seems pretty unlikely.

Would you be entirely shocked if there was a hung jury on the gun charge? It's not like DBJ's are uncommon in this country. Casting nets isn't a bad strategy by the Kokesh fanboys.

Yes, and I'm willing to lay a small amount of money on that.

This.

Whichever junior US attorney who got handed this case is going to know that Adam The Man's hoping for a nullification. They're surely going to go over this issue during voir dire. Even if a rouge sheeple manages to sneak onto the jury... well the sheeple are even stupider than The Man. I gotta think, in that highly unlikely chance that a sheeple gets seated, that the sheeple has a better chance of themselves getting charged with jury tampering, than they do of hanging The Man's trial.

Sure, trying to 'angle shoot' the court using a rouge sheeple isn't a terrible strategy by itself. But really, holding money scamming Money Bombs (even if they weren't getting scammed themselves) and hoping for the Mother of all Hail-Mary's nullification... that's a pretty stupid overall strategy.

What Adam The Man should be doing is blowing whoever he needs to blow to get his privileged trust fund money flowing again, beg to be allowed to check into Betty Ford for a while, denounce his stupid commercial stunt for what it was, apologize, and try to negotiate some kinda plea bargain.

He's a 'statist'... and not just your garden variety scum of a 'statist'... he's the very worst kind: A 'statist' rights 'statist'. You know... the kinda pitiful degen who actually believes that states have rights.

Plea bargain? They've got him on tape willfully breaking federal weapons charges. His best bet is to rat out some of his drug connections.

Well, I failed at the Google trying to figure out why Adam The Man gets to stay in the can until at least 2013-11-18. But it seems his private lawyer just quit him, so the delay is probably to give some time for the new public defender that was assigned to him by the court to get up to speed.

So... Adam The Man is an unemployed indigent (remember: no visible means of support) and is now completely reliant on the very government he purports to hate (even though he volunteered to be one of their Marines) to protect his future freedom.

BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!1!! !!1111!!!

But I did find this...

EXCLUSIVE: Adam Kokesh, A Modern Day Political Prisoner?

Libertarian activist Adam Kokesh has been in jail for 114 days... with no bond, no bail, and no trial. 57 of those days were in solitary confinement... Let’s start with the facts: On July 4, Kokesh uploaded a video of himself loading a shotgun in Freedom Plaza in the District of Columbia... Just being in D.C. with a loaded firearm, even if it is legally registered, is a violation of the law...

Carey Wedler, Kokesh’s girlfriend:...“There were about eight of us total. Activists would come stay with him, and he would give them free rent in exchange for work... Officers claimed they found drugs in Kokesh’s home during the raid (“magic mushrooms”)... [Jeffry] Phillips, who was not present during the raid, said "... it is very likely that they actually planted mushrooms on him..."

On Wednesday, his attorney, Peter Cooper, quit the case without giving a reason. Those close to Kokesh are shocked... said Phillips: “There’s no reason for him to just leave other than [the feds] got to him..." He concluded, “Adam is a modern day political prisoner...”
And who is Kristen Tate, this believer of LOLtastical conspiracy theories, you ask...

I'm too lazy to quote mine, but I'm pretty sure that the prosecutor said s/he would be willing to talk about a plea bargain, and that that is typical in these kinda cases. IDK, but maybe there might be some drug addict program he can beg to be included in that can mitigate what sentence he gets.

Also, and again I'm too lazy right now to quote mine, but I'm pretty sure that snitching was in fact The Man's first inclination... and that he did in fact originally whine that it was one of his unemployed indigent rents-for-works 'liberty' sheeple roommate's shrooms.

Do you think people have the right to self govern? That's what people mean by states rights when they aren't racists.

I think the phrase 'the right to self govern' is a buncha gibberish.

And LOL at believing that's what 'statist' righters are prating about, when they aren't being all racist. As an easy example... the loathsome L.Ron was citing the putrid 'statist' rights dogma to advance his anti-abortion, anti-pot, and anti-gay agendas.

However, on further consideration... maybe A.Kokesh calls himself 'The Man' because he knows and/or gets serviced by the hot 'liberty' chicas... Well at least he did, before he sent himself LOLtastially to jail. Of course, if The Man runs bad in the courts... he could end up being Adam The Bitch, and know and get to service his new 'husband' in prison.

Carey Wedler...

Just in case there's any doubt, Adam The Man Kokesh is a con artiest. He's a PAYtroit. And he comes from a Grifters like family of con artiests. Like his dear old dad, Charles The Grifter Kokesh, whose mug shot is here...

This is what Tom Sharpe of Santa Fe's The New Mexican wrote about The Man's big poppa on 2013-5-24...
Quote:
Santa Fe businessman Charles Kokesh has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pensacola, Fla., on charges of violating the Endangered Species Act by selling two elephant tusks — the latest in a litany of legal problems for the venture capitalist... After the sale, Kokesh allegedly lied about it in an email to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service by claiming the tusks had been shipped to an appraiser in anticipation of a donation to a nonprofit...

No one answered the buzzer of the closed gate of his home at 708 Camino Corrales — a property that he is ordered by court to vacate by May 31. Thornburg Mortgage Home Loans Inc. sued Charles and Marla Kokesh for foreclosure in 2008, claiming the couple defaulted on a $4.3 million debt on the property... accused Kokesh of using improper stalling tactics to remain in the house rent-free for five years, despite a summary judgment in the case four years ago.

Kokesh is also negotiating with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which accuses him of misappropriating $45 million from investors from his days as a venture capitalist in California...

He initially bought the Santa Fe Horse Park so that he and his friends would have a place to play polo. But in 2007, Los Alamos National Bank filed for foreclosure on that property, claiming Kokesh was in default on a note of about $2.25 million. That was followed by the repossession of Kokesh’s luxury motor home and other lawsuits alleging unpaid debts by Kokesh and his wife.

Kokesh’s most recent job was as chief executive officer of Dakota Arms in Sturgis, S.D. He sold the rifle-manufacturing plant to Remington in 2009. That year, he donated a Dakota Arms rifle to a Republican fundraiser in Santa Fe, joking that “I certainly wouldn’t oppose shooting all of the corrupt lawyers and Democrats.”...
BTW, according to Adam The Man himself, the VA house that he allegedly stored his shrooms in, as well as a dozen unregistered firearms, was 'upside-down', and it was apparently foreclosed on as everyone was evicted shortly after The Man LOLtastically insisted on being thrown into the can. And, once again according to The Man himself, one of his fellow con artiests/sheeple/team #liberty members stole all his belongings at that time.

So he was 'trading' work for rents with his sheeple... but he wasn't even paying the mortgage. So, once again, he was running still another PAYtriot scam.
11-01-2013 , 01:48 PM
Jury nullification activism is a good thing to do. We should all know about it educationally. Advocating for it on a specific case and around specific courtrooms is the wrong way.
11-06-2013 , 04:04 PM
So... it seems that Adam The Man Kokesh's new court appointed public defender did what was considered the impossible... s/he talked some sense into The Man, and got him to plead guilty to his LOLstupid website promoting Fourth of July stunt in DC. He's looking at up to over six years in prison for that little foolishness... and he's still got trials coming up for his alleged VA offences (2-10 more years), and AFAIK the Philly pot charges too.

What a stupid, stupid, stupid man.

Kokesh, 31, was ordered released from D.C. jail, where he has been for nearly four months , pending a January sentencing hearing.

Kokesh’s impromptu plea came during an unscheduled hearing... Kokesh pleaded guilty to carrying a rifle or shotgun, possession of an unregistered firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition. In a separate case, Kokesh pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana in the District.

Kokesh is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 17. Broderick ordered Kokesh to stay out of the District and said he must report in with supervising authorities weekly. The judge also ordered that Kokesh not possess any firearms. Kokesh faces a maximum of more than six years in prison on the combined charges...
