i have a related question. it seems that every thread, eventually, becomes about wil. but i don't blame wil for that. i am beginning to believe this forum would have approximately zero posts without wil.

You don't blame him for his absurdly terrible ratio of personal attacks:content posts, regularly posting citations that have to be edited out due to hate speech, his views on pedastry, Islam, frequent racism and misogyny?

What else can you try to not blame him for? Can you legitimately give me one redeeming factor beyond entertainment for him Matt?

He should have to win ten arguments in a row first to prove his Willyness is legit., IMO.

Let's get something straight - you twist things around and try to make me something I'm not. I'm none of those things, except maybe anti-islam. If I personally attack anyone it's due to them attacking me first. Notice who I call stupid or make fun of - all people who have done so to me first. I never insulted chez, I never insulted spank, I don't attack black peter, I dont attack adios. I don't think I've ever attack leavesofliberty or marksmann or bahbah either, but I could be wrong. Even if I openly disagree with them we don't argue or get petty because they don't insult me first.

And make no mistake, I'm not here to cause problems. It only takes a discussion with mat or chez and I'll gladly stop posting here. It's fun, and I enjoy it, but I'm not trying to hurt the site or make life difficult for either of them. If you want a forum where everyone agrees with each other on every topic, go to the main politics forum. They have created an atmosphere where almost every single person agrees with each other and to disagree on anything for too long is just asking for a permaban. I can't imagine anything more boring or intellectually dishonest as that.

Finally, if I ever link to a hate site, it's purely by accident. I don't frequent hate sites. I google something and if I link to it I generally don't check the reputation of the site first. This weird infatuation of sources from you people lately must be a tool to disregard entire arguments. I'll check something and see if there are multiple sources for it then just pick one and link to it. If it's truly a hate site then tell me and I'll apologize or look for a better source. To imply I'm using a hate site on purpose is yet another example of your blatant dishonesty and your lame attempts to smear me.

I assuredly was not "dunked on". Ymmz had a meltdown and went on a 20 post rant attacking me. I'm used to it and I'm fine with people attacking me, but don't think I won't fight back. The problem was with him, not me. I had multiple pleasant exchanges going on with multiple people in that thread and all of a sudden someone took a piss in ymmz's Cheerios and he freaked out on me.

i don't blame him for every thread turning into a thread about him. you guys do that. and it is entertaining, and also useful to someone like me who has a hard time grasping on to any one perspective. he does inspire people like you? to make their cases clear.

but, my question was really to the mods of this forum. if willy stops posting, what will remain? i don't want to be harsh, but i'm having a hard time understanding what's happening in this particular alternate politics place these days. not to say there is any threat i will change anything, just asking the question.
