The best way to stop bigotry against US Muslims is to not import US Muslims. Because the greatest bigotry and sexism suffered by Muslims comes from their own husbands and fathers, not society. Hundreds of million of women are kept as de facto slaves in Muslim lands. Over 70% of Muslims believe that Islam requires that the woman must be completely subservient to her husband (including letting herself be beaten, and always being sexually available to him regardless of her own wishes - things they draw directly from their holy book).

The meanest skeptic of Islam believes in freedom of religion more than your average moderate Muslim. 1/3 of Muslims - 500 million people - believe you should be murdered if you reject Islam. Over half will shun forever children who leave Islam.

If some Christian cult murdered anyone who tried to leave their cult, it would be front page news. Yet 500 million people belong to a cult which does just that, and you don't bat an eye - instead defending the cult against those who would criticize it. It's ****ing bizarre, man. You must be a closet patriarch/misogynist to defend the world's most sexist and bigoted religion.

You are for being against anti-Muslim "bigotry" yet pretty much described Muslims as "bigoted" "xenophobic" "sexist" or whatever, which I agree with to a large degree.

i know only one muslim family - they are pretty hardcore (those "scarfs" on women), and the older daughter knows koran by heart (if i understood correctly) cuz she is going to some arabic country to study this crap

yet they are one of the nicest people i got to know

also, my best friend is a skinhead (very good person)

as i wrote this i realized more people should be open-minded like me

qwhat if i am the only conscious person in the universe and iam basically typing this for nothing

fwiw, it seems unlikely that there's going to be much new discussion in this thread any time soon (re: subbing), but I'm still interested on the off chance I'm wrong
