WSOP Jackpots WSOP Jackpots

When I first heard about this from a friend I thought only first place would get the $30 back, only 3rd place loosing does make it a bit better. I personally would take a shot atleast putting $30 a day to it if I can. I dont know about others thats not a degen like myself.

Just got a call from WPN CEO with an interesting name idea:

"Spin and Go to the WSOP"
04-25-2015 , 06:45 PM
That would be a good name if the network was called Pokerstars.

Aren't these called Jackpots? Back to the drawing board Phil.

Rename Jackpots in my opinion. Too much prior use for good search-engine hits.

Spin 4 WSOP

Spin 2 WSOP

WSOP Spin to Win

World series of Spin ainec. But really I think these would be more grindable if you made 1st give out some $, say $45 to 1st, $30 to 2nd.

To compensate for this alter the prizes at the top. Have 1st give out $12500, 2nd give out an expenses paid trip to Las Vegas for 2 (you can arrange a prepaid flight/hotel package 5 nights with pretty hefty discount arranged depending on how many packages are given out) at probably around $1500 a pop or less from anywhere in the US (offer 2nd option like NYC since there will undoubtedly be people from LV/surrounding area).

Also you definitely need to attach strings to that $12500 if you want people actually playing the event. Give them $10300 immediately for registration of the event and then provide the remaining $2200 upon obtaining proof of them actually registering for the event.

The obvious answer is World Series of Jackpot Poker.

This is the worst idea ever. Lmao Let play to get our money back and hope for a jackpot.

Let me use my T$s and CP's to buy-in and I'd play the crap out of these.
04-26-2015 , 04:29 PM
That should be reserved for the big upcoming tournament series based on the soon-to-be-implemented MTT Jackpots.

+1 T$s & CPs (for all SNGs!)

+2 for the use of T$/CPs in all SnGs!

Here's a possible paytable I've thought of independently (the multiplier is to be applied to the prize pool after the late registration and the addon period close , with all the tables changing the carpets correspondingly):

Frequency - Prize pool multiplier
6% - 5x
18% - 1.25x
76% - 0.625x

So if e.g. the base guarantee of the Sunday $540 is set to $200K, it will be $1M Gtd about 3 times a year on average (just like now), at unpredictable moments, which players won't want to miss every week

I don't think it will increase the risk of ruin by that much because the variance of the final table of an MTT is already huge. I need to figure out how to simulate it in the closest possible way, though.

Returning to the topic of WSOP jackpots, I've started thinking that it would be fun if a good percentage of the tourneys pays not equal amounts to the first two places (1 re-entry), but more to the winner like in 6-max turbos, namely, 2 re-entries to the winner and 1 to the second place finisher. The 2+1 tourneys would be less nitty / boring, but still have room to show ICM proficiency.

E.g. the payouts of the $30s could be:

Times out of 2500 - Multiplier

1 - 1250x ($12500 to each)
802 - 3x (2 re-entries to 1st, 1 to 2nd)
1697 - 2x (1 re-entry to both 1st and 2nd)

Rake = 6% exactly

considering i did it literally 5 mins ago that is false

But making an automated system for spending T$ on SnGs would save so much of the support's time and effort and would reduce my need to get in touch with them (I have severe social anxiety ).

Yes they will do it for you to play sng's only, but the $$ must be used for sng's (like, you can't convert to cash and then cash it out).

Updating the system to allow TB's for sng's and JPs would be nice and save support time and hassle.

The problem is that most recreational players (non-2p2ers) don't know this secret, and that's whom we need in SnGs first and foremost.

This

Also, how about an MTT LB where 25% of the prize money goes to SNG tickets.
