Didn't this tournament end at 6:30 am EST? Seems like a reasonable request to move it back a couple hours.

Please add more 5-22USD turbos the 6-8p.m timeslot. Euro finishing sessions and only fires turbos at that time US players like them too i think . Some tournaments missing on that timeslot.

Agree about a few solid turbos with the same structure as the 10 PM $22 $3K. Maybe an $11 and a $55? The Mid day ones on Sunday were a nice addition, would love to see that duplicated.

Re: WPN Multi-Table Tournament discussion thread

TD,
please consider adding a decent weekday tourney in 4PM. This would be a good follow-up to daily $66 in 3PM. $55 - $109 6max 5h LR would be a great addition to the schedule and would easily attract regs from other networks.
Great job with OSS so far!

What is the reason for the 6r 2k gtd tournament to have this structure? Last level of rebuys are 2 big blinds. The addon is 2 bb. Do not understand. It used to have a decent structure.

THIS.....

The new structure is absolutely terrible. The previous structure was perfectly fine. Not only that but they also removed both the nightly $6 rebuys (1.5k and 2k) which always had a decent amount of people playing them.

Makes sense, thanks for responding to that. However the new structure on the current rebuys still doesn't make sense. I assume there's less people buying into them because nobody wants to buy in and add on for 2 big blinds late in the tournament?

Re: WPN Multi-Table Tournament discussion thread

Today there is a very good satelite for sunday special. It's a pity it's to be so early (when it's normal to be an hour and a half later) and at this point at risk of not having enough entries to open. If they did not open they could put one at the normal time, or for that, lower the number of gtd entries. It's a shame this tournament does not have more satellites today (even though instead of 50 it has 10 gtd entries)

Honestly what is this? You guys need to restructure the way you do payouts because this tournament paid out 20% of the players and min cashing was less than the tournament buy-in which is a joke. Something has to give so scenarios like this do not happen.

With all the discussion of new structures what is the average length of a standard MTT here? About 4 hours max is my sweet spot; are my only options turbos?

The average MTT has 3 hour late Reg

They also have 5 hour late reg available.

The exception to this are turbos where it's 45 min - 2 hr.

Re: WPN Multi-Table Tournament discussion thread

I realize this will most likely be ignored like anything else I've brought up in this thread, but in the OSS#47 why is the addon so late in the tournament? It happens almost an hour after the registration ends, and will be 4,000 chips for $2 when the blinds are 750/1,500 with a 150 ante. That means you won't even get a full rotation with it. Adding in the fact that a large portion probably won't do it means you're just severely hurting the overall prize pool.

Having it occur at the end of registration makes the most sense, and literally every other site does it this way for a reason, as more players are still active to make use of it as well.

I really like the site but the structure and choices behind some of these tournaments makes it seem like no thought or care is put into the MTT schedule whatsoever.

This kind of thing shows why all poker sites should have a players committee, as PokerStars did when we could play there in t he United States.

Holdem Manager runs alpha and beta tests before making changes in their software. To put it another way, they value player input. It would be great if poker sites worked with a players committee to get the same kind of input.

Re: WPN Multi-Table Tournament discussion thread

Truth be told it was just a different structure for a rebuy. It may not of been the best but i try things.

I also do work with players and their feedback. Just not all their ideas are good so i use some and dont.

I also try many things that you guys give an opinion to and again, some work some dont.

Rebuys and i cant give you a reason just suck on the site. I have tried so many different structures and none of them work well. I have copied other sites structures and nothing works.

I have said this once before recently, i think r/a's are a dying format.

Let me ask a question and get some honest answers.
If there were no more r/a's, would anyone actually be upset and miss them? (to be replaced by a different tournament)

TD, I don't think the r/a format, or any format is the real root of frustration. I think it's playing time vs reward.

I'd guess part of the reason is the fact the large majority of the larger GTDs are 3+ hour late registration and the player pool isn't that large.

Essentially every tournament is a rebuy where stacks get deep before registration ends.

Rebuys were a unique format that offered large prizepool on sites that offered 90%+ freezeouts.

I personally like the 10x add on turbo format used for satellites.

This is so true. You can try r/a $22-33 with slow structure in 90-120min reg and add-on at the end of late reg period. Maybe it will attract some mid range grinders if the structure is right, but r/a format is def dead.

I appreciate your answer. As for your question I can say that I personally tend to shy away from the r/a's because unless the guarantee is big enough firing multiple bullets, etc never seems worth it. Rebuys are a tricky thing I would imagine as it's a fine line that has to be skirted.

Honestly I would just really love some tournaments that weren't turbos but didn't have 3-5 hour reg. I work from 7:30-4:00 EST and it greatly limits my ability to play any sort of MTT's usually outside of Fri/Sat.

If there could be some smaller gtd's but only 1-2 hour reg tops that is 10-12 min blinds that would be great. I know there are daily $5 1,000 GTD and $10 2,500 gtd that run and fill well. What if there was a $5 750 and a $10 1500 that was 1-2 hrs late reg and 10 min blinds?

I agree with this, in fact, I always set up my filters to not include rebuys. A few years ago the WSOP had a tournament where Negreanu bought in 17 times and it came to be known as the "buy-a-bracelet tournament." The WSOP never gave a bracelet for a rebuy tournament again.

I'm careful with my bankroll management and I don't want to guess how much a tournament is going to cost.

Pretty much. Turbos are like normal MTTs elsewhere and Super Turbos are like turbos elsewhere. Non turbos probably last average of 10 hours atleast its a joke lol

Why is there no custom bet size (x.xx BB, XX percent of the pot)?

It amazes me how you are not updating your software at all (I am not even talking about avatars, mobile app and more).
