Won't debate that too much, I agree to an extent. If Merge were to get their head out of their ass even slightly they could very easily take a lot of WPN's business. WPN has horrendous software, they need to do something to set themselves apart. The Beast certainly is a huge turn off as well.

A network with good rewards and normal tournaments could go a long way imo. Even with terrible software. The Beast + bad structures+ bad software= a network destine to be 3rd place for the foreseeable future. Their only hope is Merge continues to piss off all of their customers.

WPN is like the running back who fumbles the ball in the red zone over and over. Merge is the Lions though haha.

I don't really know what quantifies Merge as the solid #2 right now. They're either behind, barely ahead, or right with WPN in most quantifiable categories. To me, the fact that Merge has fallen to the point of it not being clear who's number two puts WPN right there when you factor everything else. Merge, in terms of MTT's, was competitive with Bovada as shortly ago as last summer. Their relative fall in that regard isn't the be all end all, but it's telling of the direction they seem to be heading in.

Sure, WPN's software is clearly nothing like Merge's. But I don't recall seeing WPN pulling tournaments/changing GTD's on a whim the day of, or making seemingly head-shaking decisions without so much as a peep to anyone. WPN seems to want to make strides towards improvements and climbing the ladder - what's Merge doing? Maybe if they spent more time worrying about their operation instead of spite-grinding Pokerhost, they'd be better off.

I had Jacks. Tens was the only hand I was crushed by or racing so I figured I'd toss, since I didn't have a ton invested at that point.

Winning Poker Network - NEVER change these daily big-10 tournament structures. Deep tournaments where you can play actual poker...it's refreshing. Helps to do well too (and /brag). But still, it suits my game and I enjoy playing these MTT's here more than anywhere else right now.

You win the $12.5K? Saw you up top after I got 2 outed for the CL w/ 30ish left.

Nah - hit the stupid wall three-handed. Played way too patient, but got in with 22 on a 2-9-Q board against KK, and guy hit a K on the turn. Would have been 1.1mil against my 900k against other dude's 200k chip wise had I won there, but alas...not to be. Third ain't too shabby though.

I'd be fine with keeping the structure of the daily Big 10's, but please add more tournaments that work for those people who do not have 8 hours to grind. I'd love to see more small/mid stakes turbos with guarantees etc

I have been grinding mostly on WSOP.com this month due to the fact they have a MTT leaderboard promotion similar to the beast and sit n crush. It would be nice to have a promotion for the MTT grinders.

I can't speak on the deposit part but I have transferred after receiving a p2p, actually just minutes after. But havent done so in past 2 days so can not test this out right now, can anyone confirm this?
02-02-2014 , 06:21 PM
^^ Same here, just this week even. On both ACR and BCP, anyway.

Well just seen this is his excuse in the p2p thread on why he hasnt transferred funds bought by another 2+2 member, so this might just be that for him, an excuse lol

this actually has happened to me before, I deposited into my account and then tried to do a p2p transfer right away, it would not go through so i contacted ACR support via live chat and was informed that I would have to wait 72hrs after depositing before I could successfully complete the transfer....however the person who I chatted with told me to try sending it again and he would approve it on his end and sure enough it went through, so if anyone else runs into this problem just contact ACR support and im sure they would do the same again

Petition to rename the $12.5k GTD for $27.50 the "Nutz Open". Have played in 6 of them in 2014. Three DNP's, but...in the three I did place, netted $2,750 (2nd, 3rd, 14th) /brag.

Hahaha - I kid. I'm probably not even top 100 in overall winnings from that tourney in 2014. Playing tonight though - come get some!

Once I find the time to fix my PC/at least get my HH off of it I'll join you lol. For now I can't find the will to play the 12.5K without a HUD (though TBH, satelliting in and taking 4th my first time playing it started my BR and bought me a HUD so yeah, I like that tournament too. Only managed to FT that once time but hey, I've only played in it less than 10 times for sure.)

I got what I deserved last night...lol. Humming along, defeated 3.5 hours in by a turned two pair after getting in with the best hand. ABH - always be humble.

HUD's distract me too much these days. Haven't used one in ages.

anyone still in the 10R?

Why aren't the guarantees for tournaments regularly crushing their guarantees being raised?

For instance:
$1,200 GTD- $11 @ 1 PM EST(Sunday) has a $2,660 prize pool today
$5,000 GTD- $55 @ 2 PM EST (Sunday) has a $9,150 prize pool today
$1,000 GTD $11 @ 3 PM EST (Sunday) has a $1,895 prize pool today

Just a few examples of MTTs that regularly beat their guarantees by a lot. Fish see guaranteed prize pools and play. The bigger the prize pools the bigger the pond.

WPN-TD, when will you guys be going through the schedule and increasing guarantees where it makes sense?
02-23-2014 , 08:20 PM
^^ Already mentioned....he's going to look into it after the OSS coming in March. Plus, things have been steadily getting to this point for months - wasn't too long ago WPN's daily schedule was flush with overlays. Besides, you can't have a week of beating your GTD's and then summarily raise them. WPN has taken a bit of a methodical approach and it's worked for them. No need to rush it and risk taking a step back.

Was thinking of giving this place a try, i play only heads up sit and go and lately strictly PL Omaha heads up. Noticed that this place only offers Hyper turbo Omaha for some reason. Regular heads up offers hyper, turbo and slow format. Cant figure out why they dont have those for Omaha as well, unless i missed them somehow, anyone can tell me if they are available perhaps i filtered wrong or something.

Entered the $4k GTD R/A at 12am with 2,500 chips. 25 mins later - 55k chips. Relaxing, tipsy, and winning. Boom. I heart you WPN!
