Well damn - got even with the guy, 400k-ish apiece - bet bet bet all in pre, my 88 against his AQ hearts. Q river..

Guess I can't complain. I'll take 2nd in that $1k GTD.

It is.

That's why I generally play the bigger tournaments and drink when they're over. Excluding 3 dollars or less.

But just remember, we make our money off them. And maybe, maybe, that's why it pays off to be a LAG. Or a TAG. Understand that you have to kill those players to make $$$. I'm typing a message here after I ended my night in the 12.5K GTD when I couldn't deal with it anymore. so I drank with some friends. I went out and had fun with some friends. I'll do my homework in the AM.

It's all about remembering that the guys we beat don't approach the game the way we do. They don't approach it they way we do, and you'll do just fine.

Anyway I'm ending my night now. None of these late night tournaments tonight, because I need sleep. I'll be back on in a couple nights (who am I kidding, if I finish my homework tomorrow, I'll play some low stakes.)

Just keep it calm, and try to take optimal lines. That's me trying to give some good advice, after I stopped playing I just couldn't do it and decided I had to have fun with some homies. It's tough to do when you're "tilting" at low stakes. But we'll all leak our money if we don't remember that.

Also last point.

Tournament players go through swings. If we can't keep our cool, we'll go through a lot "negative variance."

It's only negative variance if we can't keep our cool and go through losing days being happy with our decisions. I posted a lot of stuff here to get advice on whether I made good or bad plays today.

I feel like I've learned a lot recently. One thing that I feel like I know is to just keep your cool through negative variance, know you can't win them all, and try to figure out if your plays were good or bad. Forget about results.... just play good all the time you can and never look back.

Good night. I'll see you guys tomorrow, or in a couple days depending on if I can finish my homework.

yes sir...can't let the beats, bad or whatever get the best of you. Poker to me is a lot like baseball. Just got to keep constantly adjusting your batting stance

Time to start another MTT run - whose with me?

I can't for now, have a class at 530... afterwards maybe though. Not much more homework, and I have the whole weekend for it so I have the time it just depends on my mindsight.

GL though kill it today.

The rebuy, not the $1k GTD $5.50 we're in, LEC.

Wasn't there a $162 15k tonight? Did it just disappear from the schedule?
10-02-2013 , 06:41 PM

That $162 at 20:00 they had listed earlier must have been a glitch.
10-02-2013 , 06:50 PM
^^ Ahhhh...they used to run Wednesday only $15k GTD's for $162 - might have briefly popped up and someone realized it and took it off the schedule. Hasn't been ran since WPN went to the current hourly GTD structured MTT's.

anyone else down?

Time to sample the $1k GTD $6.60 R/A - who's with me!?!

Slighty out of my 5k/15-min/3-hr late reg comfort zone...should be interesting.
