I agree the clock should have been stopped. I don't agree on the other part though, it was pretty clear what the chop was. T offered an even split, R balked a bit, T explained why and refused to budge, R offered a somewhat half hearted objection, T said no worries, gl (let's play on), and R said no, wait, I agree to your proposal, and T confirmed he agreed.
