It gets even better. When that epic spin does hit for your 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event package, you automatically win it……and so do the other two people at your table! Everyone’s a winner! There’s nothing worse than hitting that fateful big spin and playing for a huge prize only to come out empty handed by a bad beat, so we’ve made it easy for you. Everyone sitting at the table when the big spin hits wins a $12,500 Package!

World Series of NO Jackpots

The web page says for the $6 prize pool games, "winner takes all". But in the client the $6 games are paying $3 to both 1st and 2nd instead of all $6 to 1st.

The ACR and BCP webpages that I see have "Top 2 players get their buyin back ($3)".

But yeah, something is messed up. I just saw a $27 that said $9 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but it was actually playing out. You can also see in the recent winners list that the $27 tier and $18 tier are apparently awarding all 3 places 1/3 of the prize pool each. Not sure how the prizes are actually being awarded to players.

[edit] Also, the webpage blind structure includes a 25/50 level which is not correct.

[final edit] The payout structure has to be the nut low for the industry.

I was looking at the ACR web page by clicking on the image in the OP. Someone from WPN must changed it since I posted. I still had the browser window open though so I took a screen shot:

^^This.

I was going to play a bunch of these at winner takes all for the $6 level, which is still bad but ya got to give something up to have such a huge jackpot award at the top.

It's simply unplayable now though. 99 out of 100 games a player will either break even or lose $3. The chance to profit is here is zero for anyone who doesn't hit the package, and it will level modest bankrolls.

Poorly played WPN.

I guess I was lucky to hit $27 one for 9 bucks payout. I've played a few dozen since and it's all been 6 bucks total price pool. It's a nice and slow drain on the bankroll with no reward.

Good luck and have fun if you decide to play these. Depending on your motivation, you might find the following quick analysis helpful.

If you ...
  • DESTROY the competition at the tables (win 80% of your 2x; 7.1% EV ROI pre-rakeback; likely impossible)
  • AND you have 35% grandfathered rakeback
  • AND you have a deposit bonus running
  • AND you make cash from SNC (so about 100% total effective rakeback)
  • AND you manage to get 20k games played
... you will be +14.3% EV ROI post-rakeback.

Sounds good, right? Sounds great!

Under that dream scenario, you still have a full 25% chance of being down 2000 buyins after those 20k games. Not a typo; 2000 buyins in the hole. That's 4000 buyins under EV. For perspective, variance where you can be down *200* buyins when beating a game for over 10% ROI is mice-flying grown-men-crying soul crushing nasty.

^^ Nice.. Ty.

There is pretty much no reason to play these, right?
Earning a profit is pretty much impossible....
03-24-2016 , 10:06 PM
Sure there's reasons to play. Fun, entertainment, curiosity, cheap long-shot gambol are a few I can think of. Probably the fun/entertainment will be short-lived for those that play more than just a few games, due to much longer 2x streaks than they expect But if you really know what to expect, it could be a fun way to blow some time and a little cash.

Profit is entirely possible. Just get lucky.
03-25-2016 , 10:00 PM
They just changed them so at the 2x multiplier winner take all.. so a profit is very much possible now!
03-25-2016 , 10:27 PM
Haha, ez game now!

In reality tho, no matter how the 2x/6x/9x tiers are split, there is no way to make a profit over any substantial number of games without binking a $12,500 package before they pull the games. The rake without hitting the top tier is 31% and no one is going to come close to beating that. The chance of NOT winning one over 20,000 games is 30%.

I play on bovada because payouts are quick, but really intrigued by these wsop jackpot spins. Anybody know if they ensure the $12,500 gets paid before the main event?

You recieve the money in your account once the sng has finished.

I am aware of thia, but will we be able to cash out all the money in some sort of expedited way to make sure we have all of it before wsop starts? I dont play on acr but it seems theres a max amount you can take out per month. Will there be exceptions made to ensure we have the money in time for the wsop me?
03-31-2016 , 02:20 PM
Yes you will.
