I won a satellite entry into The Cage this Wednesday, but I will not be home to play. I cannot unregister on the software and support is telling me I can't unregister from the tournament or even reschedule to a different 'The Cage.'

I, like many, won my entry into the satellite on the "Beast," and I was only playing the tourney because it was a free entry, however, I thought for sure, at least, I'd be able to transfer to a later 'The Cage'.

Is there nothing to be done at this point and I am just out the $1,050?

Unfortunately, I'm just a part time/casual player. I have other things going on this Wednesday. I played on poker stars before black Friday and had always been able to unregister from tournaments I satellited into but unable to play. I figured the same would be true for ACR.

I will happily exchange it for a different week but i wont however change it to money.

Had you bought into the beast tournament i wouldnt be doing this but on this occasion i will help you out

So you know for the future, OP and anyone else reading this, if you buy into an event with cash then win a satellite to that event, you'll receive cash for the satellite win, then you can unregister from the event for cash before the event starts. Note this only works for satellites that finish before their target event and obviously this strategy doesn't work if you don't have the target event's buyin in your account, but in general, this is a good tactic to be aware of.

so since you're willing to do this on a case by case basis if we post and ask for it, can it just become standard that we can use the beast tickets any week we want?

I will do it only if you qualify via the races. If you buy in directly i wont be willing to change it.

Its not something i like doing but as long as i dont get bombarded then yeh i will do it
