Withdrawing from ACR with only partial info? Withdrawing from ACR with only partial info?

Hi all,

Before depositing more money onto ACR, I wanted to know if I'll be able to withdraw any winnings in the future if I only have part of the info they are asking for?

1. Government issued ID - Check
2. Proof of address - Check
3. Cards used - I have my main credit cards, all obviously with my name, but I also used some visa prepaid cards (also my name) that I got through work perks, but once I spent all the $ on them, I threw them away as they're useless (they're not rechargeable). In their withdrawal email, they specifically list out the cards that they want a picture of front and back. I have the main ones, but not the prepaid ones. Would that be enough?

Wondering if any WPN rep can confirm.

If you use a card then you will have to confirm that card is yours yes.

I would strongly advise you to look at bitcoin, there are many people in this forum that would give you advice if needed.

Ok, so I've used 4 cards in the past (two credit cards, two gift cards), all my name, which I have an ID to match. My current balance is $0 on the account.

Now, say I deposit $200 with BITCOIN, win the $100k warm-up (lol never happen), and I want to take out my $. I will now not be able to take it out because I don't have the old gift cards I used with my original deposits?

No .. If you use bitcoin then you can withdraw with bitcoin.

Its confusing at first but once you get used to it.

Its easy, fast and cheapest way of getting money on and off the site.

What bitcoin company/wallet would you suggest US players use?

Coinbase/Blockchain is what I use. No problems yet.

Awesome. I noticed that they suggest using Blockchain as an intermediary between Coinbase and your bank account. Why is this?

Thanks

I think (never used it) coinsbase will exchange your $amount to BTC amount, But it's not a wallet.
For spending the BTC (or receiving it) you need a wallet. That's blockchain.

Blockchain is used to move money from Coinbase to ACR, or from ACR to Coinbase. Blockchain is the "middle man" if you will. It's because Coinbase doesn't like online poker sites. Coinbase will convert BTC to $$$, or $$$ to BTC. Coinbase is the one linked to your bank acct. Goes (for deposit) Bank--->Coinbase--->Blockchain--->ACR. Go in reverse for withdrawals. Look in the Bitcoin thread for more info

So just to confirm. In the past, I have used credit cards to deposit on my account. If I now switch over to bitcoin, deposit $1000, and then win a tourney and try to take the money off, I will NOT get prompted for verification of the cards that I have used in the past?

That seems weird, because for example, my most recent deposit was with a card I have (obviously ), but when I tried to take money off, I was asked to provide pictures of a gift card I used 6 months ago, even though it had NOTHING to do with this deposit.

Now, I'm afraid that even if I use bitcoin, I will be asked to verify that the cards used 6 months ago are mine...even though my name matches (I have a pretty unique name). I don't want to get screwed because I don't have a gift card that I used up 6 months ago...does that make sense?

@ Mohsen and Gustafson: Thank you very much.

Pretty sure you wouldn't be the first person to use gift cards in the past and now use bitcoins. I've never seen a post about someone being denied a bitcoin cash out due to not being able to verify gift cards used in the past.

I had to buy a pre paid card to deposit on the site. Come to find out it didn't work. Bought the correct card and used that one to deposit. It was the temporary card however, so in about 2-3 weeks I got the "real" card with my name on it. I also used that to deposit as well. So that is now 3 cards on file under my acct, 1st was the wrong type of card that didn't work at all, 2nd was the temp prepaid card I bought at the store(used once to deposit), and 3rd was the new card with my name on it that I still use to this day to deposit.

When I went to withdraw for the first time I was unable to because I didn't verify ALL the cards on my acct. Only had the one with my name on it at this point. I messaged Winning TD to let him know of this hold up and he had to have a member of the security team call me to get the other cards removed from my acct. Withdraws have worked fine since (all being bitcoin). And the process was super easy and quick. He just told me what time to expect a call. Thanks for that TD!!

So idk why this hasn't been brought up by him, but I suggest you try to contact him or customer service and just get the old cards removed, if still possible. Hope this helps.

I understand I'm not the only person, but here's the scenario:

#1. Used gift card (long ago) - threw away. Lost all cash in MTTs
#2. Used credit card - still have, lost cash in MTTs
#3. Used credit card #2 - won money, wanted to take money off site.

I was asked to verify #1, #2, and #3, even though #1 had NOTHING to do with the money I deposited to win my cash months down the line.

Now, I'm worried that the step will be:

#4. Deposit with bitcoin, win cash, try to take money off

And then I will get asked to verify #1, #2, and #3, even though they had NOTHING to do with the money I deposited with bitcoin.

I think it is a logical conclusion to come to that if they're asking me to verify my original gift card (thrown away) when I won money using money I deposited with {Other Credit Card}, then they may ask me to verify my original gift card when I win money using money I deposited with {Bitcoin}.

I don't want to get screwed because I didn't keep a gift card from months ago, but since they're asking for it when it's irrelevant with my credit card, what stops them from asking for it when it's irrelevant with my bitcoin?
