Most of the time we use the forum for negative criticism or whine and bitx about everything.

Now its not one of those times. I want to make this post to say thank you to Winning Td for the great job he did this year with the new schedule and now with this amazing additions always taking in consideration players ideas.

Keep the good work Sir.

I just want to say though that what is really needed for Friday afternoon schedule between 1pm-4pm is a mid-to-high guarantee that... JUST KIDDING LOL

Def agree with what WPN TD and CEO have been doing through communicating with us the players, trying to get something that can work for everybody.

Thanks again guys =)

Um, I'm sorry. But, the guy did nothing more than do what WE told him to do after 2 years of stalling. It took forever for the lengths of the MTTs to shorten and they're still too long. People were telling him to put a $10K $11 buy in MTT on the schedule last summer and he said it would NEVER hit the $10K guarantee. Now, they have a $10K $11 buy in on a Friday and it works.

What happened this year should've been done sooner and there is a lot more that should've been done this year, imo. The schedule is still very weak for the average recreational players. Praising the guy for a bunch of $100+ buy in tournaments that simply don't apply to 95% of the poker market is pretty asinine. Players that only deposit $20 dollars at a time on average according to reps from Pokerstars.

$10K tournaments that apply to $20 depositors should be on the schedule daily by now. I'll start praising TD when I see that. This is not a tournament schedule that applies to and attracts the masses. It stresses the bankrolls of recreational players and requires them to practice poor management if they want to play $10K MTT's. It's imperative that this company understands this and they're not going to do that with a bunch of people on the forum kissing their asses.

daily $11 10k would be nice.

Agree that a daily $11 - 10k would be nice, but I also agree with op, it may not be the best but I def see improvement in wpn and tournaments.

If you look at the Pokerstar's 2016 MTT thread their tournament director caught onto the flaws in their schedule and listened to complaints that the microstakes MTT schedule was weaker compared to 2009-2010. One of the main bullet points for their goals for 2016 was to add more microstakes options with big guarantees. They did that and are now reporting that player's deposits are lasting longer. Likely because those players are spending more time at time consuming MTT tables that take hours versus cash games where they donk it off in one hand.

In terms of rake, 2009-$1 rake on $10 buy in.....2016-$1 rake on a $10 buy in. Now, look at rake increases for microstakes players that have made the game unbeatable in cash games. The MTT schedule and the rake increases are the reason for micro-stakes player losing rates increasing. You (and Pokerstars) have/had a stagnant micro-stakes MTT schedule that motivated players to choose cash games with increasing rake rates over MTT schedules that KEPT THE SAME RAKE RATES THE ENTIRE TIME. Is it any wonder why the average depositor loses their deposit faster in 2015 versus 2009???? They're playing a game that taxes them more in 2015 then in 2009....it's not the huds, screennames, etc. causing it. It's the decision making of the management at the companies.

It's MTT schedules like the one WPN currently has that are responsible for player's losing rates increasing. You need to follow suit with Pokerstars and build your microstakes MTT schedule.

I bet Winning TD avoids this thread for a while because they assume that's exactly what this thread's about.

I assumed the thread title was sarcastic until I read the thread.

WTD doesn't do a perfect job, and I'm heavily critical of a lot that they do, but his job isn't exactly super easy, and making everyone happy is impossible. Anybody who has been around WPN for years knows just how much bigger it is now than 3 years ago. While I do wish certain changes were happening (faster, or just happening at all?) he has done a good job overall, and people often forget that his job is only to make the Tournament Schedule, everything else he has does is EXTRA work for that he's not required to do, but does so for people anyway.

Great job lately guys, please don't take years to listen to your players next time. Had WPN not just plodded along doing the same stupid **** for so long we'd all be much better off.

But really, great job. The site has came a long way!

There have been awesome editions to the schedule.

The $20K's and $60K's on Tues and Thurs are great. I just wish those were on the schedule DAILY. I know a lot of people would be on the site a lot more often if they were. The same goes for a $11 buy in $10K GT daily. Which, is a tourney that NOW makes sense with Bitcoin allowing for $10 minimum deposits that are more manageable for the masses. A player is more likely to deposit $11 just to play that one tournament as opposed to $50 just to play that one tournament. I think the $10 minimum deposit was a big part of the reason for Pokerstar's success pre-Black Friday. If they had a $50 minimum deposit pre-Black Friday I think a different network would be #1 in the world.

Bitcoin opening up the possibility of $10 minimum deposits means that BIGGER tournaments in the micro-stakes buy in range are far more plausible now because more players will have access to the site. $50 minimum debit card deposits have been a hurdle for this network that prevented larger micro-stakes MTT's from hitting guarantees. Micro-stakes players simply don't want to put $50 on a poker site. Some will, but a lot have been deterred by this amount.

Bitcoin could be a significant game changer for the MTT schedule here. If I were working at WPN I would actually be advertising $10 minimum deposits with Bitcoin as a perk to the site. Because, IT IS. The masses have been coming to WPN for 4 years and seeing "$50 min deposit with fees on top." I think this has been a big part of the reason poker didn't BOOM again after Black Friday. It's not a loss of interest as much as it was difficulty of accessibility to the site, and difficulty in access to the funds when you want to take them off the site. That's all come to an end with Bitcoin and the masses need to be informed of this by the sites doing a better job of ADVERTISING IT.
