I understand why acr has pretty much done away with rebuys.. (barely covering guarantees etc..)

but why is this? I thought rebuy mtts were a lot of mtt regs preferred mtt of choice?

what are other peoples thoughts?

Do you guys think a sunday decent guarantee rebuy mtt would be worth running for the site? like a 6 rebuy 10k guarantee? i feel like a smaller stake 10k guar, as opposed to like a 20 rebuy 10k guar would do better in terms of covering the prize pool.

but it always blew my mind that the nightly 6 rebuys didnt smash their guarantees.

For me its the structure of the rebuys on the site that i dont like.

Same. The late reg goes on foreeeeeeeeeever so the last 2 or so hours where you could rebuy you were rebuying to get a .25 bb stack or whatever. Didn't have a lot of appeal for me.

yeah that one is obviously ******ed, never play that one..

but they used to have two 6 dollar rebuys at like 6pm, and then one at 8pm. and one of them the add on was after 125/250. and the other was after 250/500.. why wouldn't ones like those do well? also on sunday there was an 11 4k rebuy that they have done away with that never made the guarantee. and the add on for that one was after 125/250.

Structures on WPN are terrible and there hasn't ever been any worthwhile rebuys on the regular schedule. Doesn't help that every tournament on the site is basically a rebuy either..

every tournament is already a rebuy. the ones labeled "rebuy" have dumb structures, which is why nobody plays them.

I play the NON-GTD small re-buys. They would be OK from a WPN standard if it wasn't the fact that you can buy-in AFTER re-buy is over. How stupid is that?

Some of them end buyin but then you can still re-buy for a few more levels. The other REALLY stupid thing is the very short add-on time. Why not make the add-on period during break? Auto add-on works weird because even if you have it on the window still pops up asking you to add-on.

Maybe other people don't like that either.

This is not really true, you keep the same table, no rake and the chip stack work different.

Yes, structures have been messed up for a long time and they refuse to change them. If I was trying to make more money I would have faster even blind levels, Less GTD, less LR, and just run more tourny's. If people really think they are getting some value from GTD they are fooling themselves. They won't run them if they don't meet the GT.

It's a lot of bingo though and sometimes hard to avoid landmines...esp in PLO...PLO8. It can be nerve racking.

the only way you would be correct is if you meant RE-ENTRY and not Re-buy.
yes a majority of our tournaments allow re-entry, but we also offer some freezeout (no re-entry) tournaments.

The OP means Rebuy and Addon tournaments, which are another type.

- MTT with Re-entry
- MTT with Rebuy and Addon
- MTT with only 1 entry (freezeout)

how about a $8.50 mtt with unlimited rebuys, and 1 add on.. So a traditional 8 dollar rebuy mtt with 20k guaranteed in the prize pool. starting next sunday.

Poor structure. Low guarantees. People feel ripped off when they rebuy with this structure. Players should have an advantage for spending money and stacking chips before addon. Payouts should be updated instantly after every rebuy so people can see what they're playing for and spend more. 100x should be the minimum payout for first place.

I remember the $20k make up games and the rebuy murdered the reentry tournament.
