The groundbreaking online poker game that’s taken over computers across America is now making its television debut. The team behind Sit & Go 2.0 today announced that they have inked a deal to be official sponsors of Poker Night in America.

Dubbed the next evolution of poker, Sit & Go 2.0 is a new take on Sit & Go games that launched earlier this year. It offers the potential for bigger prize pools and more players paid in every game, plus a progressive jackpot component. It’s all determined by an exciting pre-game where players flip over a card, one-by-one.

Sit & Go 2.0 made its debut at the Punta Cana Poker Classic in the Dominican Republic last October. It is now played at many of the world’s top online poker sites, plus several land-based casinos.

Poker Night in America airs weekly on Monday nights on CBS Sports Network and re-airs in syndication on a number of regional sports networks in the United States. Poker fans will notice Sit & Go 2.0 branding throughout the broadcast, including prominent placement of the Sit & Go logo.

For more information on Sit & Go 2.0, visit SitAndGo20.net.

I noticed this back in July and thought it was awesome.

Now that I have your attention though (since a rep hasn't posted in the 2.0 thread in months)...

First, "plus several land-based casinos". That's cool. Where at?

Second, it's no secret the $10s are mostly dead and the $25s+ are dead.

What's the status of these games developmentally? What's the future hold?

From an outsider looking in, I don't understand why they're being promoted but also left for dead developmentally.

Third, the lobby UI is a $10 killer. Traffic funnels right to the $5s. I've played thousands of these and have seen first hand how much the "average wait" impacts things. People see "$10 1 hour wait" and snap reg the "$5 3 minute wait".

I know WPN is aware because it's been on the dev queue since April.

Why is something this simple, with an obvious return +ROI, taking so long to change?

Fourth, the rakeback has been broken for over 1 month. Any status on this?

PS: None of this is meant in ill-will. I genuinely like the games and am just frustrated by the lack in development and communication. There's a lot of potential being wasted.

Poker Night in America, sponsored by Sit & Go 2.0, brought great drama with a clash between Jen Tilly and Jason Mercier.

sitandgo20.net makes the game sound fun, but I don't see any information on that site about where SNG2.0's can actually be played!

Thanks, but I'm already aware of them, and would like to see more people playing them.

Probably the point of sitandgo20.net is to persuade players to try the games?

If so, wouldn't the site would be more effective if it told players where the games can be played?

I agree. It seems the website exists to promote the game format, but not actually get anyone to sign up for an account with WPN. Given that games $10 and above rarely run, you would think they'd want to increase online traffic for this new format. I imagine higher online traffic would help their efforts to bring SnG 2.0 to land-based casinos, as well.

I think they are apprehensive to do ACR commercials on USA national television like Pokerstars and Full Tilt did in the past. That is understandable, considering the negative attention such blatant advertising brought to the black-friday-effected poker networks (in terms of the government's and legislature's attention). Instead, they advertise a type of poker game that only ACR/WPN skins spread. Surely it will be at least minimally effective. It is definitely not ideal since it doesn't point people straight to ACR, but it is the next best thing IMO.

I hadn't considered that, but it makes sense. A quick Google search for "Sit and Go 2.0" will lead the user directly to ACR. I agree it's good to avoid attracting too much attention while operating in a grey area.
