Saturdays!! Saturdays!!

seems like the general consensus is:

Start tournaments earlier on saturdays (I guess people want to be free for the evening)
Have the tourneys run shorter (via KO, turbo, less late reg time)

Seems like people are looking for smaller fields and less play time on Saturdays.

What about something like a 120 man turbo SnG for like $20-$50 +5 (no rebuys, or maybe 1-3 rebuys) that's basically a 3-6k guarantee with a smaller field and less play time. Would give players a sense they have real shot at decent money without having to worry about 100 late reg short stackers coming in mid game and blowing up the field. I think people would be willing to pay a slightly higher buy in if they had this assurance. You guys have the overall traffic for this, and it would make you stand out from the other rooms.

Even if it you bumped it up to say 240 man (turbo or super turbo), that would double the prize and still be time manageable. You'd prevent overlays as the tourney wouldnt start until it had the right amount of people reg'd. You might even have people rushing to make the cut off if you choose the number of tourneys offered correctly based on general number of players logged in during those times and potentially increase overall traffic.

You could run 6-12 man sng sats during the weekdays to make sure you had people with incentive to play them, would also allow smaller BR players to get in cheaper increasing the number of possible players.

SnG Saturday Specials, or something like that starting early say 10am EST, i think people would be willing to wake up early if they knew theyd be free later. Also I think you could run them all day and night, seems like people are willing to give a few hours but not a 6-10 hour period for relatively smaller GTD's when they know they can have better situations on most weeknights and Sunday

Winning TD, should we expect any changes today, or same schedule for now?

So again, are we to expect the same ol' usual Saturday schedule this week? When do you plan on making some changes to the tournaments?

I understand that some of the Saturday tournaments need work. But I love the $4000 GTD, $2 R/A format. Seems like a fun tourney to enter at last level and still have a chance to run good in it with the 10 Million Chip Addon at level 40. Can't have every tourney be so serious. These tournies are fun for gamblers which are what most of us come online to play poker and hope to win one of them.

Not sure if less late reg time necessarily means smaller fields. I avoid the tournaments because I don't want to be stuck on my computer for 6+ hours at a time. I'm sure a lot of recreational players feel the same.

I think Turbo Saturday would be great. Saturdays is basically break for regs as Sunday is grind time. I am not on the mood to play a 9 hour session on Saturdays but if there were Turbos, I might reconsider. Turbos and bounty tourneys. Also PKOs would be a added bonus.

I'm just happy to have a reliable place to play. If I could give a suggestion I would agree with the 1 hr reg.

lower the guarantee and shorten the length of late registration.

It confuses me why there isnt a larger subset of tournaments with lower reg time and faster structures. I think people understand there would be lower guarantees but it seems pretty clear there is a significant demographic looking for these kinds of tournaments at mid stakes buyin levels. At least the forum demographic seems to suggest it as well as regular success shattering guarantees with those structures on PS and Ignition.(admittedly the only two other sites im intimately familiar with)

They would lose so much money switching to 1 hour late reg. Never gonna happen guys

Yeah the current late registration period is hilariously long.

they said they were going to add PKO's a long time ago I think..but instead we get an update with avatars and a option to gamble away your winnings on red/black when you close the table.

Another vote here for 1hr late reg.
