Russian Botting in Jackpot Games Russian Botting in Jackpot Games

06-17-2016 , 12:05 PM
Hi. Sorry in advance for another post about Russian anything, but this is out of hand. I've been playing many many $10 jackpots lately and have found what I believe could be evidence of bots setup to grind these games.

The following are lists of accounts created in Russia within the past 7 months (most of them from March and April) who have been playing $10 jackpots exclusively (except some cases where they have only played other stakes jackpots but no other games ever):

walletcleaner
obamka
HarryPokker
Aidenroot
Chuppachupps
nuBacuk
TexasDaub
PinaColada61
pokapureiya (forgot to add to image, but same thing with one freeroll)

[IMG][/IMG]

Notice that many of these have all played exactly one freeroll, and have only played jackpots. Every single one of these players have very similar stats on my poker tracker. Every one is putting in the same type of volume and very large amounts during happy hours to make $50-$125 on sit and crush.

There's no way this is a coincidence that all of these Russian players created accounts within just a month of each other, all played exactly one freeroll, never tried any other games, and only played jackpots with extremely similar stats, volume, etc. All of them have extremely low fold to c bet % in position and have similar barreling frequencies.

There are likely many more accounts that I'm missing, but this is just out of hand. Please do something about this WPN.

This is just what I've seen at the $10 level. YrAmigo also has the same thing with 1 freeroll whose account was created in April. It will also be beneficial to look at the $25s and $40s for other Russian accounts like spin2win2win created in May. Please investigate all of these accounts. I have a feeling many, if not all of these accounts are not real players, should be banned, removed from the leaderboard, and whatever else needs to be done by WPN terms of service for affected players.

Old news, I said this JPP was rigged long time ago

Definitely looks suspicious. OP, please post whatever relevant stats you have on these accounts.

Do you suspect them of colluding or just gto-ing?

Do they have many games together? Is the freeroll the 1st depositor freeroll? If so, does it show up on lots of random new accounts?

Im confused why regular players keep finding bots, on different stakes and formats offered by WPN, and the network security has not been doing anything nor reporting anything to the community.

Why would security do anything until players made a public issue out of it. Bots pay just as much rake as the rest of us. More rake = more money. Especially if the bots are putting in volume.

Because they think actively protecting integrity of the game will result in more profit than not. Even with the extra rake from bots.

This should come as no surprise to regulars. WPN is the network that turned it's head to BLATANT collusion in the double or nothings (with players from Russia lol), and once enough outcry was reached, they got rid of them instead of upping their security protocols. That's why I left this network. It says a lot that they would sacrifice game integrity for $$$.

Not a wpn issue, its a don problem. Stars handled it the same way, party IP blocks certain players from sitting together. Dons are just fail

I'd like to add KussshiKiiimi and BumbleBee12 as 2 more suspected bots. Again, Russian, similar stats, account creation time, only jackpots played, etc. Will eventually post stats to show similarities if WPN doesn't take action first. There have also been a few accounts with the same credentials, but are listed in Portugal. Can we get any response from WPN here? Anything at all please.

Portugal is going to have an above average presence of regs due to Stars temporarily not being allowed there. Not to say 0 would be bots but if you're looking for why there would be more recent signups/reg like play that'd most likely be it.

thanks. i wasn't aware of that. I was mostly getting at the idea that the Russia location shouldn't be required to be investigated.

tbh, WPN is kinda bootleg. I'm thinking their security team and protocols are on the unsophisticated side, compared to other networks.

fwiw, I just played through happy hour and for the first time, I didn't see a single name that I reported in any of my games and these accounts ALWAYS grind happy hour...

06-24-2016 , 12:33 PM
^I saw a few of these accounts today. Non happy hour.

Yeah. I got excited too quickly. They're all still on. I could be completely wrong about all of this. Maybe over 1/4 of the top 40 sit n crush players really are just Russian (many apparently female) players who all decided in march/april to create accounts on America's cardroom and play 10,000 micro/low stakes jackpot games with identical styles. Could be a coincidence. Maybe bumblebee12 really did play 8500 $2 jackpots with a 10% ROI legitimately, or maybe not...

Think you're correct though. I've paid some attention to possibly separating human vs non-human players in these games, and as far as I can tell, there are indeed several notable differences between the ones you mentioned and the "real" humans.

The most important of which is they they never, ever respond.

Ive seen harrypokker talk in chat before not sure about the others

I've played against a number of these accounts.

Hi,
i'm a noobie and i've got 2 questions

1: how do you know if someone is a bot on your table?
2: Every poker room customer service say that if you contact them about something/someone suspicious, they will make their own investigation but they will keep the investigation private, if a bot gets ban do they refund people the bot played against or they keep the money?

I remember if you ever posted about people botting, cheating your thread was pulled and put into one big satirical cheating thread and you were called crazy.

Remind me of some of the players on Pokerstars during the mid 2000's. Up to 8 tables of PLO for endless sessions.

Seriously thought, why don't they just make a special game and tournaments for bots. Just supply the api and UI framework and scripting language.
