I cashed out my rakeback for the first time in months the other night and it seems I now have a negative rakeback balance. The negative balance is relatively small so I should be able to "pay it back" in a couple days of playing so not a big deal but I'm wondering why they give me more rakeback than I'm owed in the first place and also how I can avoid this happening again in the future. Any insight would be appreciated

It's probably because you had a bonus clearing at the same time. Rakeback is ultimately not paid on rake that gets returned as bonus. But the system is setup so the calculation is not done until the bonus has been released. So if you have some bonus cleared but not released, the full rakeback will be getting put into your rakeback account (even though some of it is technically not eligible for rakeback). When you claim that full rakeback and then release a chunk of bonus, it can result in a small negative rakeback balance.

Thanks for the explanation. I assumed they took bonuses into account before awarding rakeback, but since they don't, that perfectly explains why I now have a negative balance.

Been trying to clear my negative RB amount but the amount keeps increasing every couple days which is very frustrating. When I first discovered I had a negative balance I figured I'd clear it in a few days no problem, now it's been 2 weeks and just checked and I now owe more than I did when I first noticed the negative balance despite playing almost daily at my usual stakes, seems every time I get about a day away from clearing it they add on more.

Tried to get on live chat to see what the total amount I owe is but it seems they aren't online right now. Anyone know why they keep adding more to my negative balance? I haven't had a bonus or cashed out any rb (obviously) since I first discovered the problem so I don't understand what I'm doing to cause this to continually increase. Wish they had told me up front exactly what kind of deficit I was in. So annoying to think "hey tomorrow I'll be earning rb again!" then I wake up and notice I'm back to square one and start to worry that the same thing will just keep repeating. Is this how it worked for others who had a negative balance?

Now that does sound weird. I'd keep trying support and pm one of the reps here if that's not successful.

is it possible to get rakeback across multiple skins? Like say I have RB currently on ACR, will I be able to get it on BCP?

Also, does a bonus clear faster if not on rakeback?

withdrawing will not cancel the bonus.

I'm a VIP player, not rakeback, but I'm quite sure the bonus will amount to less if on rakeback.

Thanks Max Cut for your detailed info above. Why does WPN make it so confusing to keep track of what's actually going on during the time of bonus clearing? I kinda feel so confused like I'm just blindly grinding away without a clue as to where my account is in relation to rakeback/bonus clearance.

It's not intentional, I'm sure. They offer options and do a lot of promos, most of which add complexity and make it more difficult to understand completely.

Bonuses are a good example. It would be great if they could just say something like -- it clears at a rate that makes it the equivalent of 20% rake return. But because they offer options of VIP or rakeback, and because the rake system for cash is different than for tournaments, and because it's different if you're in Beast/Sit&Crush games, that wouldn't be completely accurate.

The bonus tracking interface seems nice and should help monitor progress and maybe give an intuitive feel for the clearing speed. Unfortunately, in my experience it only updates daily, which diminishes the effect. Same with rakeback.

This might be a dumb question but I'll ask anyway. If I use the OCC promo bonus code and get all the bonus. Once that's complete can I withdraw....then redeposit and use OCC promo again? Can I deposit multiple times at once with OCC??

So I'm a bit confused here...From my understanding, the cash, tournament, sit n go, jackpot and jackpot 2.0 AP is accumulated at 1 AM ET everyday. Then why is this going up? What AP is this coming from?

Is rakeback given automatically at the beginning of the month?

There are two different systems of rakeback. If you signed up through the site odds are you on elite benefits which is a tiered rakeback system. Combat points will be credited to your account as you do volume, there are also medals to turn in for free $ under your rewards page. If you are a huge grinder you can do amazing on this system. The other option is flat 27% rakeback which is as it says flat 27% rakeback that you can redeem ~48 hours later.

The rule of thumb is if you're going to rake 18.1k or more on a year go on elite benefits, if not go on 27% rakeback.

How do you get the elite benefits? Ive been playing for a few days, raking some and clearing my bonus but havent gained any combat points.

Also cant find the store anywhere.

Oh so apparently you get them automatically when playing a certain volume. But shouldnt my combat points be updating in my cashier then?

Figured it all out with all from support. Fast and competent, I like it.

How do you find out which rakeback program you're on and/or sign up for that? I don't see that info anywhere on my account.

If you click on rewards at the bottom you can see it. If it only shows your weekly rakeback you're on the normal one.

Are there no longer ANY tournaments that take points?

Really suck for me if I have to use them in the store now since I have no VIP status.

Can you switch back and forth between 27% and elite benefits? Or is it a one time thing?
