I PM'ed the WPN tournament director a few days ago and he did tell me they are looking for a WPN-specific 2p2 rep. I don't think this needs to be private but if so, I apologize in advance. Anyways this was his PM reply:
I'm not an IT guy either, but it just doesn't make sense to spend time fixing minor things that I don't believe anyone has complained about, while not fixing things that many people are complaining about. Especially, when I would assume that things like auto-timebank aren't major projects (for anyone that knows, how difficult or time involved should this be?). And even then, with the complaints that are major projects to fix, they should still be devoting their time to fixing it, rather than pumping out minor fixes that really doesn't benefit anyone, and that most people won't notice or care about.
It just seems like a very inefficient way to improve the network, and one that is not at all centered around what's best for the customer.
I just don't see how the programmers/developers can be getting the word that people are consistently complaining about all the issues presented in this thread (especially the prominent ones that everyone is asking for), yet not devote their time to fixing those problems. Even when it came to the software "upgrade" (still in quotes because it was barely an upgrade), 95% of what they implemented was things that the majority of people weren't asking for. While only a few things that people asked for were addressed (and half-assedly at that, since filters still suck).
And I feel like everyone keeps giving them the benefit of the doubt. Everyone expected a lot of good changes with the "upgrade", and we didn't receive them. A fair number of people's responses was that those issues will be addressed in the next release, and that the upgrade was to make it easier for those issues to be addressed. Yet, we haven't even been told when the hell that will be. And haven't seen any of those real changes as of yet.
All the while, they are still raking players to death, and running promotions that are just bad for the game. Where the hell is all the money going to? They don't have to spend money on marketing. They aren't spending too much money on promotions (I mean players pay for their 'rake race' and pay them an 'administration fee' for it). So why the hell can't they spend some of it on development and fix the damn issues that are keeping players from coming to the network?
